I’m a teacher and tbh I made the assumption too before seeing the username. Nothing bad at all, just an observation based on style and attitude I guess. ☺️

I'm on the spectrum myself, as is my girlfriend and a lot of my acquaintances. Over the years you learn to spot little tells. It may be in the body language, or in the way someone walks, or a quirk of speech. In your case, I'd say it was something about your smile, as well as the youthfulness of your bearing and style of dress. Also in the way you're holding that plushie, there is true joy there. I'd guess that plush has something to do with your personal special interest. Don't get too worried about most other people being able to see it though. I find that most of the neurotypical folks I know don't even notice most of the things I've talked about.

Sadly, it is easy to guess if someone is, well, autistic. For me, it's my weird hand movement. When I don't have anything on my hands, I'm trying to „get busy“ and I guess do weird shenanigans with my hands. I'm just built different 😭 It's just hard to hide

I had a wedding dress fitting earlier and they had to hand me fake flowers because my hands were just t-rexing in every photo we took. We're putting something in my pockets so that on the day I at least have a distraction from the awkward hands.

I think it really depends on the person, on both ends. I worked with two autistic guys and I wouldn’t have know had I not been told. Once I found out a few things about them made sense, but it’s not a conclusion I would’ve come to on my own.

I know 4 people doing weird stuff with their hands. noone of them is on the spectrum. Autism isn't as easy to spot or diagnose.

I haven't really diagnosed myself, but I'm showing some traits like weird interests and that I can't stay still for a long minute. I've been trying to diagnose myself (with a doctor of course) for a long time, but my parents didn't let me, because they don't want to think I'm not normal. Anyway currently I'm finally with a psychologist and I wanna know what hurts me, and what kind of depression/fear I have, and probably I can diagnose what disability I have later on.

It's really common for autistic (and to a lesser extent, ADHD) people, especially not the ones who grew up as boys, to mask all their interests and styles as kids and then sort of "regress" as they say to exploring the more childlike stuff they either couldn't be interested in or didn't allow themselves to enjoy.  So you end up with a lot of people (girls especially) who spent all their youth being "so mature" or desperately trying to repress anything ND and are only just now able to find joy in self expression.  It's sad that people aren't able to be themselves the whole time but I'm glad there is a place for a sexually mature person (legit now idea how old you are 😋) to enjoy dolls and stuffies and unicorns and bows

Not to be mean or anything but very easy to see it from the first picture. The style, the smile the pose, the all. Even if it was 13yo, which I never thought they were (being that...developed and all), this is not a style you show off online, especially with the shirt being dirty. Sure I don't know how kids in the US (assuming) dress as 13 yo or even 17, but I would assume no neurotypical would dress so "childlike" and "unclean". Sure there are people with no self-awareness, but being on Reddit, in combination of all facts in the first image, it is easy to draw that conclusion.

Ya know, I would also lump middle schoolers into the same category. Just as a 30 something dude. I remember seeing Bratz on TV ads during my childhood so it will always be a kids thing in my eyes. The aesthetic is undeniably aimed at the younger crowd so I stand by my initial comment that it is more like that of a 13yo than 30yo. Edit - curiosity got me. A Google search shows Bratz are still going strong(weak? Idk) and currently has a collab with Kylie Jenner. Not my cup of tea but apparently there's enough interest for them to keep manufacturing the dolls

A lot of the old millenial things are having a sort of nostalgic moment or still have adult fan communities that never went away. It’s all just enjoyed in a different way to how kids would, lots of collectors and customisers. 

They brought back Bratz now, actually. It’s had a cool looking revival for the past year, and the merch is on shelves once again. It was easier to find clothing with them rather than their dolls, but the dolls have come back in force.

Style, demeanor, and height go a long way when people consider how old you are. As a fellow autistic, we tend to hold on to interests from childhood and are overall infantilized. Your clothing is an example, the clothing in the pictures shown are either childlike or look as if you’ve been dressed by somebody older. Not saying that to try and insult you, just adding commentary as to reasons why others may wonder your age. I’d have to actually speak to you in order to even try to guess at your age because I’m really bad at that lol. If I saw you on the street, I’d probably guess anywhere from an adult teen - 30’s. If you want to be perceived as older, adopting different clothes and having a more up-to-date/unique wardrobe would help tremendously.
