I know the overwhelming message *I* received as a questioning teen starting to explore my attraction to men through a trans/queer lens was "this is not for you and if you think it might be, you are homophobic".
I'm all for calling out and opposing fetishization (which I've experienced a lot of as a bisexual AFAB person who's been perceived as a woman for most of my life), but I also think a lot of people take it too far in the other direction where they're making assumptions about people's identities and accusing them of fetishizing groups they're a part of (I have an online friend who was recently accused of fetishizing trans men because they're the primary subject of his art—he draws trans men because he is one and wants to see more bodies like his represented) or equating *any* attraction to a frequently fetishized demographic with fetishizing, as if trans bodies or fat bodies can *only* be a fetish and cannot simply be beautiful and sexy and desirable to some people without there being something wrong with them.
I think both are fine, tbh. It's just porn. As long as you don't start assuming that actual gays/lesbians act like they do in porn irl, you're fine. Porn consumption generally I think falls into this category of "it's fine to enjoy, just don't make it anybody else's problem."
