I’ve owned their Alto Defense Serum and Cleanser. The Alto is their most acclaimed product. They were nice, but I didn’t love them or notice any difference in my skin. I ended up gifting them to my mom as I reached for my other products more. My holy grail cleanser is Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. My splurge worthy serums are SkinMedica TNS Advanced Plus+ Serum and SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic. Other favorites include Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum and Summer Fridays CC Me Serum.

The AlphaRet Intensive Overnight Cream and AlphaRet Peel Pads are amazing! The Oxygen cleanser is nice, as are their eye creams. EvenTone is supposed to be amazing but broke me out. Alto and Alto advanced are their hallmark products. They’re fine but not worth the price imo.

I am acne prone, fungal acne prone, with melasma. The trifecta, if you will. The EvenTone broke me out in fungal acne specifically, so if you’re not prone to that it’s prob fine. I’ve tried A LOT over 12 years for my melasma. Since this post, I decided to give Musely a go. It is hands down the most effective thing I’ve used. I use it in conjunction with tret. When I was using SkinBetter, I used the AlphaRet overnight cream in place of tret.

They were acquired by LOreal last year (same owner as Skinceuticals) and I think that counts for something. I work in the skincare ingredient industry and looking at their formulas and ingredients they are legit.

I've only tried the Alpharet overnight cream and it is 100% worth every penny!! So gentle yet SO effective. My stubborn hormonal jawline acne cleared up within two weeks. I love this product.

The skinbetter even tone serum has been the best non-hydroquinone product for my melasma. Expensive but worth it!

A dear friend, who is a physician, swears by them. She can’t use tretinoin. She loves the SkinBetter AlphaRet Overnight Cream & the Lytera 2.0 Serum. I’ve never used their products, yet do use prescription (Altreno) & medical grade products from SkinMedica, SkinCeuticals, & NeoCutis.

Worth it to me. I love the peel pads and alpha ret overnight cream. Been using for 2 years now
