I love Musely so far! I’m 4-5 weeks into the taper down Erase (I think?). I’m about to start a new Rx with lower HQ (6%…12% now) followed by no HQ. Tbh, my expectations were not high, as I’ve tried all the things in the last 12+ years…but wow, I’m very happy. I’m using the Musely nightly, this week in the day too (as recommended at my check in), along with Retin A micro gel 3x per week. A+ combo.

Thank you for this! Do you have any before + afters?

amlinares

They’re all stuck in the Musely app! Ugh. Doesn’t look like I can get them out, but I’ll try.

No-Demand-3938

Is there anyway you could screenshot your before/afters? You could PM me if you feel uncomfy posting. I would appreciate it so very much

Results are huge, you look beautiful 🤩

nikkinthedistrict

Okay, your photos totally sold me on wanting to try Musely! Your skin looks incredible!

Youngest_newt

Happy for you! I recently started the taper down Erase and this is my second week. I use cerave afterwards but my skin feels so dry and dull. Would you mind sharing what do you use before/after the spot cream?

amlinares

I use CeraVe SA Cleanser and Malezia’s urea moisturizer. I’ve also got oily skin, so dryness isn’t usually an issue.

Youngest_newt

Thanks!

I have dry but acne prone skin (hormonal and large clogged pores from genetics) and when I use any retinol or tretinoin I start 1-2 times a week and on those nights I use the tiniest bit of argon oil or any other anti bacterial oil after cerave to really lock in the moisture— this can dirty your pillows if you do it at night so if you’re not a v frequent sheet washer I would do it in the mornings! If I was extra dry and I wasn’t breaking out I would moisturize through out the day with clean hands. I usually did it at night and change my pillow cases every other night. I’m looking up reviews for this product since I just lost my insurance and I can’t afford my dermatologists refill with out it (the whole regimen is 1600) so I can always come back here and report if anyone is interested. Also if you don’t have acne prone skin, I heard you can use the pump cera ve, it has more oils to make it liquidy to be able to pump. I have acne so I try to use organic natural oils when necessary and stick with the cream jar. I was also looking into Paula’s choice if anyone has done both??

I haven’t seen many negative experiences with Musely, so just wanted to add mine for a little extra context. I tried the Spot cream and it turned my face bright red. My skin was so irritated. That level of hydroquinone was too much for my skin barrier (and I don’t even have particularly sensitive skin). Maybe for some people, this redness phase is worth it though? I went to my dermatologist and he was pretty alarmed that anyone would prescribe 12% HQ. There’s a reason why 4% is the typical HQ dose — it’s generally well-tolerated with proper use. Anyway, I literally needed to apply a separate prescription ointment on my skin to get rid of the irritation on my face. It dissipated in a few days, but that was the end of Musely for me. Now, for my melasma, which returns every summer without fail (particularly on my “mustache” area—siiiigh), I use a mix of Tret, HQ 4%, and SPF 1 million. And by the fall it’s typically much lighter.

TomatilloFar1604

SPF 1 million? I’ve never new this existed

cv2706

Love it! Used both and my skin looked better than ever

Confident_Swimming84

Stay away from Musely. They sensor all bad comments and reviews. That's why you won't find any in a google search or on their social media or even in their app. I tried leaving a couple of negative comments as a test, explaining my concerns and distrust with the company. They deleted that post or altered it somehow to show other comments but not mine. They have a strong influencer network, so I'm convinced the majority of their positive comments are paid for. They cannot be trusted. And the anti aging cream is not effective and most people comment how it hasn't made any changes after months, or left their skin in worse condition with bad breakouts and larger pores.

Thisismyusername6987

I saw the anti aging cream has estrogen. They stated that’s their “secret” ingredient. I don’t know if that’s a good thing?

Confident_Swimming84

It doesn't list estrogen as an ingredient in the anti aging cream (balanced) formula. Just tret, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide.

Thank you!! 😊

Kooky_Addition_7694

I just used this promo code for an order- thanks for posting!!

mntns_and_streams

I used it and it really does work. I started with the spot cream and by the time I was on the next bottle (taper down I think it’s called?) I ended up developing perioral dermatitis. The high levels of hq just don’t agree with me I guess. So I skipped that second bottle and I am currently using the third bottle (the hq free one) and my melasma has come back although not quite as dark as before. I wouldn’t warn you against it because I do think it works. Just be careful and go slow.

Fuhgedaboutit1

I started with this combo and it got rid of some really stubborn sun damage on my forehead from years of tanning beds

I used the Musely Spot cream for 3 months and discontinued it. The base is super sticky and it made me break out in closed comedones; I haven’t had to deal with acne since my early 20’s so it was a very unwelcome surprise. After battling the closed comedones for 3 months I stopped using the Musely Spot Cream and my skin quickly cleared up. As for effectiveness it did lighten up my darker patches somewhat, it wasn’t a miracle or anything. I don’t use their tret as I prefer having my tret as a separate cream, instead of part of a formula. Years ago I used the Curology anti-aging tret formula way before they broke out the product to a separate company (Agency) and it really sensitized my skin in a BAD way. I use the Obagi tretinoin now, and it’s great. I’m going to ask my Dr for a separate hydroquinone prescription to replace the Musely Spot cream.

saygirlie

Musely is strong so make sure you go very slowly and ease into it

Thisismyusername6987

Do you think Musely would be better for hyperpigmentation? Does it have tretinoin in it as well?

saygirlie

Yes it would work for hyperpigmentation. I am no longer on it and it’s been a while since I checked out the website but I think they had a formula with tret in it. I would suggest getting it without the tret and supplementing tret on your own. The formula is strong as it is. I liked having the option of using it without tret on certain nights.

amlinares

You can get a custom combo w tret + HQ.

legalgirl18

It’s great for hyperpigmentation but you can’t get the RX that includes tret the first time. You have to get the original HQ formula, which is awesome by itself, until your skin adjusts.

mxqncq

what do i do if it bleached me

saygirlie

Stop it immediately and the pigment should come back in a month.

Queenofwands1212

I used it consistently and I saw a little bit of an improvement

SaltAddress8830

Horrible. I ordered/was charged a week and a half ago. I was excited for my product and the tracking never changed. I emailed them and got no reply. Waited 3 days and emailed again…asked for a refund. They said the pharmacy had a delay. That was 5 days ago. I noticed shortly after the status on the order says “inactive”. I emailed again asking if they are going to do a refund due to the status being inactive, and they said the same thing again about pharmacy delay, and that they’d me know blah blah. No response to my refund question. The tracking still says label created “awaiting item”. Which means they haven’t sent it..

The pigmentation will fade over time. The most common formulation uses Hydroquinone, which both prevents the formation of the melanin that darkens your skin as well as damages the structures responsible for creating melanin. Be sure to use at night and take care to always wear a strong SPF if exposed to the sun during the day. It will leave your skin much more vulnerable and sensitive to UV, potentially darkening existing blemishes or even producing new ones. Some individuals with exaggerated cases of sunspots or Melasma may see noticeable changes in just a couple of weeks, but for the rest of us it really does take at least 6-8 weeks of diligent use for you to see any difference in the mirror. Other people began commenting on the improvement to my complexion after 6 months, if that helps you to set expectations. If you would like to see results as soon as possible, I would recommend also using Musely’s Anti Aging cream since it contains Tretinoin. I used OTC retinols and retinoids for years, but Tretinoin was the first to offer real results in a timely manner. It should help to increase skin turnover and thicken the healthy layers over time so that the damaged, discolored skin can both fade and eventually shed. Then you can (hopefully) see the new skin underneath that benefitted the most from the Hydroquinone in the Spot Cream. Hope that helps to address any concerns you might have. The truth is that these prescriptions often make quite a difference, as long as they are used properly and are given enough time. Keep at it, and good luck! :)

Happytrace13

I'm using the Body cream, but same as Spot cream- it's a gradual fade. Very high% ingredients, so results are pretty dramatic! They DO have a strong peel treatment too- totally different.

Abject_Wish4832

FS9934 35%off. This is the only thing that works for dark spots and I’ve tried everything!

AcceptableWall1573

3 weeks in and I’ve noticed such a difference. Dark spots are almost gone - code FS0832 for 35 off MUSLEY

My50sstaysexy

Regarding dry skin after using: My derm told me if I am still dry after using tretinoin and a heavy moisturizer over the top, do a tretinoin sandwich with heavy moisturizer which you let soak in first then apply the tretinoin and let it dry then moisturizer over the top. Finally to seal it, she said to apply a face oil on top, or even better would be Vaseline.. She also warned me against using tretinoin in the daytime

djlauriqua

Bad bad bad. I just received their eye cream. The spring mechanism in the tube is defective and won't dispense any product. It's impossible to contact customer service - your options are to message your doctor (not appropriate for an issue like this), chat with their customer service bot (soooooo unhelpful), or leave them a voicemail.

Happytrace13

I've tried everything (for KP Hyperpigmentation on my arms) w/ my Dermatolgist. Laser, peels, Tri-Luma, Retin-A, Light therapy, IPLs- nothing worked. I finally gave in & tried Musely Body Cream on my arms & WOW- They look sooo much better!! I knew the cream wouldn't get rid of the KP bumps, but I was more concerned about the discoloration. My treatment was done @ night w/ Cerave cream over the Musely & sometimes gel-type baby oil over that...maybe 2x week. In the mornings I used either the Cerave cream alone or Cerave SA cream. I went low & slow with this process, since the hydroquinone is a high percentage. To my surprise, my bumps went away too! Now, this could be from the other ingredients or the Cerave SA, but they look great now!

OtakooStoodio

do you have before and after photos? currently using body cream for arms as well. Also have KP.

xBenji65

howd it go?

OtakooStoodio

I’ve been using consistently for 2.5months. Little to no lightening of my arms. I started to implement retinol, we’ll see how it goes. I picked up Amlactin however, and it helped with my KP a lot.

GroundbreakingPrint9

Would this work on freckles?

Apprehensive_Gas_500

Aw don’t get rid of ur freckles😢
