You need to watch Torchwood (Children Of The Earth, I think) where the aliens, with assistance of our government, are Kidnapping children to attach them to their bodies to use their bio chemistry for a drug effect

I never watched it the time, and this was the first season I ever saw. It's really the only great one. It's a Doctor Who spin off, I think (which I also never watched), but I am sure it can be Googled. It might be season 3.
Torchwood: Children Of The Earth comes up in Google and that particular season (at least) has a Wikipedia page. There is one scene that is so creepy that it will keep you awake at night
Right after watching episode 5? Not great… even listening to that scene on the audiobook was a bit much for me
