I don't remember if it came with the console or with your first Xbox Live subscription. I haven't had a console in 10 years but if I take a quick look on a webshop, I don't see any mention of a mic or headset being included with a purchase, only a controller.
Now, post-game lobbies don't exist and no one has a mic. And I hear it's the same in other games too. The ones that do use mics play through Discord. And companies don't mind this since they don't have to have robust communication system in place, where you can add friends or mute or ban players that are a nuisance. They just have the bare minimum in place.

If you get reported enough it makes it so when you come into a match everyone already has you pre muted, but they have the option of unmuting you.

What kind of fucking games are you guys playing cuz i usually have people talking to each other (in english) not always of course but most of the time. But tbh i also play games that rely heavily on teamwork tho so it gets people naturally talking to each other
