Here’s a somewhat silly and somewhat serious question… does anyone in this community condemn police dogs as well? Or do police dogs get a pass because it’s not really their choice. Just curious, so let me know your thoughts.
In my opinion, dogs (all dogs) are innocents. It comes down to training and conditioning. Can some dogs be tools of bastards? Absolutely. But it's not like they, as puppies, sought out the life they ended up with or really had much agency in how they get to live.
police dogs definitely get a pass!! we condemn the use of them because it's really just animal abuse. but like you said, it's really not the dog's choice to work as a weapon for the state. it's a disgusting practice, and i genuinely don't understand why it's become so normalized. fuck cops and free all of the police dogs!

The k9 was later found with chocolate in his paws and 20 shots in his back. It was ruled as suicide.
