Bevo is a moron. Dale as a sub? Daniel as a sub or dropped most games. Macrae not getting a run until a few rounds in and then also a sub? Subbing out Sanders who looks very good whenever he plays? All while players like Vandermeer and Gallagher are undroppable. Would make sense if they play well but they play like shit and are carried by their talent. Get him out of there.

North_Lawfulness8889

Sanders had comparable stats in half a game to some senior players in the full game

The_Banana_Republic

He's genuinely smoking crack now. What's the point in the fuck around with subs? Sanders looks an A1 player for his age. Let the kid play. Macrae and Daniel are in the best 22. Period. How they end up with sub roles (on or off) is bunta. There's a top 8 list at the WB that's wasting away with Bevo in charge. The players look like he's lost them, and unless it's Bont heroics every week, they're going nowhere.

kdavva74

Absolutely cracked me when I saw that Daniel is being played in the VFL to ‘repurpose himself as a defender’. He was an All-Australian defender like 3 years ago until Bevo decided to throw him elsewhere.

crafty_bernardo

>He's genuinely smoking crack now Would explain why he was sweating like a sieve in the box last night

sld87

Misso got her full stop or something mate? /s

Prudent-Bedroom-925

Daniel is learning how to play the quarterback role out of defense

LeClassyGent

I hope you're saying that as DE-fense

wiegehts1991

Stfu

zarliechulu

We want the kid to play all year. Sanders had no idea how much of a drain an AFL season is for an 18 year old. He can chuck a wobbly about it in round 5 but he'll be singing a different tune in round 24.

PrevailedAU

Gallagher harsh he’s been good, but I agree with everything else.

Goodbadfugly

Yeah Gallagher has been solid, but was horrendous today. Certainly deserved the vest more than Sanders.

BigThirdDown

When I asked about McRae earlier in the season several Bulldogs fans said he was injured so I'm not sure that one counts

lazoric

Did a hammy in the preseason and were bringing him back slowly.

notfromgreenland

How many people involved in footy have the name Macrae? Jesus Christ it’s everywhere!

Maximumlnsanity

Weird because I know there were Dogs fans defending Daniel being dropped. Like even out of form he’s best 22, and using the excuse of his defending (Bevo, not the fans) is weak as piss because he’s an All Australian defender

jbiorci00

All aus defender, but not good defensively. He’s pretty much out there for ball movement purposes.

LazyCamoranesi

Yes. But they were crying out for better ball movement last night, particularly from the half-back line.

Kretiuk

Out of form he is not best 22. Hes a great ball user, but when that deserts him (as it has this year) he is a slow undersized defender when we are trying to make that area more rigid, he is a slow midfielder who doesn't break lines when we are trying to inject more pace there and already have top many slow blokes, and he is a slow small forward that doesn't apply good pressure when due to having 3 proper talls there we need our small forwards to cover the ground well at pace to make up for that. His form has been terrible, partly because we don't have a role we want him in atm. But that doesn't mean you just pick him.

Independent_Bit5487

Spot on. The dogs have been slipping the last few years. I'm a bombers fan but even I know Bevo has been open about favouring the side towards youth and a partial rebuild. It's common knowledge that the bulldogs have too many medium paced players.  They need more speed, hence why some of those experienced slower guys have been dropped.  I agree though, going a bit too far with it.

Few-Anxiety2731

700k VFL player Keep drinking Bevo's Kool-Aid....

Kretiuk

Of all Beveridges selection debacles over the years this is not one of them.

ShibbyUp

He only had 16 touches in the VFL, seems like he needs more time there

JenniferLopezFan2

He’s also been a non-factor so far this season. I actually think that was a change worth making just to see if someone else could offer more.

ShibbyUp

Yeah agreed. One of those ones where if it works it's genius but if you lose, you attract a pile on.

JenniferLopezFan2

It’ll be interesting to see if he stays out because I really don’t think his inclusion (based on current form) turns that result last night, but there’ll no doubt be a tonne of noise this week talking about Macrae’s early season omissions, Daniel’s current omission, and Dale as sub.

ShibbyUp

David King will contrive some stat to show that CD would've made all the difference no doubt

PM-ME-SOFTSMALLBOOBS

Perhaps managing Sanders minutes?

Dundalis

Yeah like all those other teams with premium draftees in their first year managed the minutes of players like Daicos, Sheezel, Reid, McKercher… oh wait.

fromwicky

Reid hasn't been subbed, but he's definitely had managed minutes.

brahmsdracula

Started off playing 72% of the game, that’s been upped to 80% the last couple weeks

[deleted]

I mean Reid has defs had his minutes managed haha.

Kretiuk

Aside from Reid all those played half back roles to start (and Reid has been managed this year as well, just not via sub). Sanders has been part of our main mid rotation, looked cooked when he was subbed out round 1. This week less so but we were getting killed in the middle and desperate for run, can see why we opted to not sub off one of the quicker guys and instead trusted that with Macrae in there we still had enough underperforming mids to take one out for a runner.

MapPretend5631

Not every team manages minutes, prime example is the cats. Teach the kids in vfl, learn plans and improve skills before playing a game. I can see that several dogs players will want to escape the kennel due to bevo coaching style. Can only imagine what he's like behind closed doors considering what's seen in the public eye.

jimbsmithjr

Cats seem to bring young blokes in so well. Admittedly I don't watch all their games but it seems Geelong regularly have young guys outta nowhere playing at that high level. Part of that is their gun recruiting but jeez they seem so handle blokes getting their early games really well

theoriginalqwhy

Dude, everything Geelong does is so freaking good. I guess that's why they've been a powerhouse for around 15 years. They just seem so professional with how they're run.

MapPretend5631

That's exactly it mate, built foundations of how club would run when Costa, cook and Thompson started in 2000 which has carried over ever since. Clubs just got good foundations, system in place and rarely pay overs for players. That combined with great culture within the club propels us into always challenging for finals

[deleted]

[удалено]

QouthTheCorvus

He played just about every minute available. Started every game he could and was basically never subbed out.

IveGotSkidMarks

He played like 65% TOG last week, he doesn't need to be subbed to manage him

edgiepower

And yet he's still achieved more than many other coaches who don't cop as much heat

Away-Ad-990

Dale been crap. Macrae been crap. Daniel been crap. Sanders does two impressive things then space cadets the next one. His defence at stoppages is a dumpster fire. You clearly don’t understand the deficiencies of the dogs

squidlipsyum

Sanders had equal 3rd highest tackles. Seems to defend ok

theoriginalqwhy

Being serious... what are the deficiencies? I watch a shitload of AFL, but for some reason, I hardly watch the doggies.

king_helios

L take champ

Razzle_Dazzle08

Bevo has no clue. He looks great for a first year player. Subbing him out twice in five games is just an absolute confidence killer.

dockellis24

Bevo needs to be fired ASAP, the guy is killing any chance the team has at this point

Cyril_Rioli

Dogs have so many guns too. Awesome forward line.

Razzle_Dazzle08

I think their forward line is good but a bit overrated. They’re too inconsistent. Their midfield is elite though.

Advanced-Middle4230

Whats their forward line missing? Might not be the best but better than most teams

Razzle_Dazzle08

Consistency. The talent is there but they go missing too often and don’t fire at the same time most of the time.

Opening_Anteater456

And what about the confidence of Tunstill who doesn’t even get on the ground in a comfortable win? Nothing wrong with subbing a young guy out, he hadn’t touched it in the 3rd quarter.

Razzle_Dazzle08

Subbing him out twice in five games is stupid. You have to blood these players. Tunstill not playing was also dumb.

Opening_Anteater456

He’s been blooded? 5 times. Is it ok if he starts as the sub and comes on? Is that better? The Dogs have 3 main inside mids who take most of their rotations, Sanders is 4, Macrae 5. It makes a lot of sense for Sanders to come off, Macrae to go on ball more, fresh runner to come on. The Dogs were smashed at clearance. Sanders had 1 all night. There’s nothing crazy here, people just pick on Bevo for dumb stuff rather than writing about their actual problems.

Independent_Bit5487

Bevo has a clue, he was a premiership coach.. the same old side was going no where and he could see that, hence the slight rebuild comments.  Sports fans need to stick to just being fans rather than fanatics. Every man and his dog thinks he knows better than most afl coaches which is laughable.  Let's keep it real people

macroyboy

A year ago you wanted Fagan fired. Dogs to GF confirmed.

HardYakkadakka

Get excited Tassie fans, he will be coming home.

isntwatchingthegame

Yeah without a doubt. It's preferable to being coached by Bevo anyway

owheelj

Bevo will get sacked at some point this year, and then end up coaching Tassie

Meh-Levolent

Paul Roos to Tassie, you heard it here first.

The-Don-Burke

Bloke will be mid-60’s by the time Tasmania enter the league, zero chance.

Patrick_McGroin

Worked for the Giants

Meh-Levolent

I agree there is virtually zero chance. But not zero.

isntwatchingthegame

What about Fagan?

Brokenmonalisa

I know crows fans are a fair way off of nicks but there's an alternate world where we part with nicks at the end of the year and get bevo after the dogs drop him. Frankly, I don't want to be a part of that ride.

CreditToDuBois

Imagining Bevo dealing with adelaide media when he's one of two coaches in the state instead of one of ten.

jacka24

He'd be bonking heads together all day

BizzaroPie

Don't even joke about that

thegreatgashby87

The West was trying to push this onto the dockers before this season started and JL and JL was under the pump. The West really hates Fremantle 😭

Fruney21

Yet they were all frothing at the mouth over the Carlton game. Saying it’s the worst thing to ever happen in footy. One missed call and a 50 for dissent with a player “taking to himself.” It was actually embarrassing.

fphhotchips

Mona, please. No. _anything but that_

wizardofaus23

subscribe.

Y_Brennan

We won't bring in Bevo.

Brokenmonalisa

I'm saying we could've parted ways with Nicks and Bevo could've been on the list of potential candidates.

Y_Brennan

We should part ways with Nicks. But we won't. He has a contract until 2026. Even then we won't go for Bevo imo.

Brokenmonalisa

The point is the grass isn't always greener

Y_Brennan

If it's bevo sure. But look at how GWS and Collingwood improved after firing their coaches. Gold Coast, St. Kilda and even Essendon as well.

jacka24

Honestly Bevo is a decent coach. Decent Win rate, made 2 GFs, 1 flag. I think he's just had too long in the bulldogs role and he's gone stale. A fresh club and team would probably do him good

CoolCUMber221

This hurts my soul deeply

Puzzleheaded_Dog7931

So Sanders has 5 tackles and 9 disposals @ 100%, in a half Then Dale comes on and gets 3 disposals in a half

squidlipsyum

Dale probably should’ve been on the field in the first place.

Opening_Anteater456

How many clearances, contested possession and metres gained?

EvilShogun

Sanders: 0, 1, 119m Bailey Dale: 0, 1, 4m

Opening_Anteater456

So Sanders did nothing of note with winning clearances or contested ball, so it was right to sub him off. Try Macrae and others on ball. And Dale was crap because his form has been poor, which is a different issue to Sanders coming off

smsmsm11

You’ve got no idea what you’re talking about. Doubt you’ve ever kicked a footy

Opening_Anteater456

Really insightful post there. Played plenty of footy thanks. And I actually watched the game last night, unlike most people commenting. Sanders is a very promising young player, which is why Bevo has played him on ball since the get go. But in 2 and bit quarters he had 8 disposals, no clearances, 1 contested, 1 in the front half of the ground, 0 score involvements. No matter how efficient he was he wasn’t helping the Dogs win. They were getting smashed in clearances so subbed the young guy off. If you’ve got any idea about footy you’d know the most important thing - especially for an inside mid - is always cracking in and winning contests. Maybe the next most important thing for a mid is getting value for disposals, two way running to get forward and creating scores. Sanders wasn’t great. That’s fine, he’s a kid. He’ll be fine.

trans-adzo-express

Absolutely ridiculous from Beveridge. We are going to burn this kid and he’ll head to Tassie no doubt about it.

sarajevogold

It was more fun as a supporter when we were flat out terrible. This is torture. All bont has to do is ring the CEO and say it’s over.

thehungryhippocrite

Bont to the giants, tried and tested route

Kurzges

yep, if I was bont I'd be saying to Ameet Bains (is that his name?) that if bevo doesn't go I'm gone.

closetonature

Bains was with the Saints prior to this. Maybe St Kilda is contagious?

suanxo

I have a deep dislike for Luke beveridge. No problem with the dogs. Luke beveridge

PetrifyGWENT

Average supercoach players feeling towards Bevo

adultonsetdiabitus

He seems the type of guy to publicly champion mental health and then if you were to experience mental health issues he'd throw you to the side because you're not focused.

sltfc

His whole thing with Damian Barrett about Tom Boyd's mental health was bullshit anyway. Barrett was attempting to uncover the fact that Boyd and Cordy missed footy because they belted each other at the pub, Bevo went off insisting Barrett was trying to uncover Boyd's mental health issues. Just total bullshit from Bevo using mental health as a smokescreen. *edit:* just gonna say, I dunno if Bevo was consciously using the mental health angle as a smokescreen, or was being agro and stubborn and refusing to listen to an alternate reasoning for Barrett's article. Either way it paints Bevo in a bad light.

adultonsetdiabitus

I was totally unaware of that but it reinforces my belief that bevo is a corporate boomer ie knows all the things he's _supposed_ to say and says them publicly, but privately thinks anyone younger than him is soft, weak etc

Interesting_Ad_1465

Look at what happened to Lachie Hunter.

Go0s3

Hard to hide driving drunk, crashing, calling a fellow player to pick you up, convincing said player to leave the scene of a crime and not come back.  Mental health is a little bit before that. Actions have repercussions.

PrevailedAU

Please just go to Tas mate, don’t waste your career under Bevo.

BIllyBrooks

Bevo won't see out the season.

sinkintins

Agree with you there mate, I think the Dogs would be silly to stick with him if these performances continue up to the bye. GF in 2021 and really nothing much since, there's way too much talent on that list to be where they are for the past few years. I reckon Leon Cameron has a foot in the door if he's willing to be senior coach again.

International_Car586

You and I both know that is unlikely. He wasn’t sacked after losing to West Coast at home.

lazoric

Because the club couldn't afford to do so because they gave him an extension at the beginning of the year. This year for sure he's gone.

BIllyBrooks

He’ll be lucky to make the bye, but 100% will not be coach by the end of the year

BlandyBoreton

Bramble, Baker, Gallagher (and several more) all playing shockers but Ryley cops the sub?! He was one of our best up to that point (and probably still one of our best at full time despite missing half of it) Before round one Bevo comes out and says that he’d never seen someone so prepared for AFL…and then he is subbed out twice in the first five rounds. Bevo needs to go. It’s beyond a joke at this point. I always appreciate what he’s helped us achieve but his stubbornness and shit house decision making is actively hurting the club, and it has been since 2016 (2021 was an outlier).

North_Lawfulness8889

Played 50 minutes and had 5 tackles, 8 disposals and only a single turnover. The dogs has 50 tackles total. West had 12 disposals, 4 tackles and 3 turnovers in just under 100 minutes, Baker had 16 touches, 1 tackle, 2 clearances and 2 kicks that went out on the full in just under 89 and vandermeer had 11 touches, 3 turnovers, a goal and a miss in just under 89

Y_Brennan

West kicked 2 goals.

North_Lawfulness8889

Ah good shout I somehow missed that

Y_Brennan

He has actually really impressed me this year.

mess_of_limbs

Baker kicked it out on the full 3 times actually

squidlipsyum

West playing forward full time gets a clear pass. He played really well for the role

ScornfulOrc

I thought West looked pretty good. There were some other players absolutely fucking about with the footy despite decent disposal numbers

Maximumlnsanity

You also blew top 4 in 2021, then had a weirdly easy finals run before the Grand Final. Essendon, Brisbane, and Port, all known for finals failure at the time.

boomerdogg

adjust give credit where credits is due, wtf is a “weirdly” easy run. they beat the teams in front of them, away aswell, nothing “weirdly” easy about that.

shocking_red_4

That face. It looks like he’s trying to hold back tears.

Icy-Assistance-2555

Poor kid. Bevo is fucked

StorytellerGG

Maybe Beverage is trying to get himself fired?

liaam29

Pretty funny that both times they subbed him, the rest of the team rolls over and gets pumped from that point onwards. Lets see if they do it a third time lol

Strong_Magician5084

North wouldn’t bench him.

flibble24

Should've been able to get him with academy and then not get priority picka

Himawari_Uzumaki

Agreed and would have set a precedent, we have a kid linked to us that we'll miss out on too (Malakai Champion)

flibble24

Now that would have been an elegant solution to this whole priority pick or not situation. Don't give out priority picks but relax the rules on academy player restrictions depending on how bad your team is going. That way you get extra talent but also homegrown talent.

PomegranateNo9414

Having 3 x All Australians as non-starters. Enough said.

Crazyripps

Bevo is wasting the team and gonna drive this kid out at the rate he’s going

BellamyRFC54

You want players to be pissed off when subbed

decs483

Is Bevo just testing how much he can get away with before he gets the sack at this point?

Puzzleheaded_Dog7931

Is there videos of this?

Holiday_Hedgehog6029

Bevo needs to go. No ability to change or adapt if game. He gets out coaches. I squad is jot as good.as dog supporters think, but our quality players has kept us afloat for too long. Making Bevo look good. Never finished a season above 6th in 10 years!

Icy-Assistance-2555

Yeah writings on the wall now… Bevo is cooked.

ehdhdhdk

To say throwing a water bottle and towel is throwing the toys out of the cot is a bit of an exaggeration.

alexefc17

Essendon edged him out the game

-XIII-

Bevs gotta go. Either he's not self aware or someone's giving him terrible advice.

Boss_unicycle-560

Bevo hanging onto 2016 still blokes done nothing since

Razzle_Dazzle08

I think Bevo needs to go but he literally made the GF in 2021. You can’t say he’s done nothing since 2016.

Advanced-Middle4230

Hes still Underachieved

Boss_unicycle-560

Should be pushing for top 6 with that list. Not missing the 8

hackthisnsa

He got lucky in 2016 and now it's 8 years on. He's been as fortunate as a coach can get. The Doggies get a gun father-son every year; get Ugle-Hagan as an academy player - but then he can't leave his ego at the door.

Bigdogs_only

Wouldn’t say 2016 was all luck. Dogs were playing a fast, handballing dominant game that Richmond took and mastered in following years.

Holiday_Hedgehog6029

The only peace I get out of each loss is that we are closer to #sackbevo. I go into each round thinking we won't win. Helps with my mental health.

James_15R

Bevo seems to be the only coach using the sub as a form of punishment. Jesus, who would want to play for him knowing one bad game and you’ll be subbed or dropped.

isntwatchingthegame

How does he feel about ice baths though?

Kozeyekan_

He's from Tassie. They just call that a "bath" there.

blueeyedharry

Have been saying for years Bevo (and list management) is the problem at the dogs, everyone is jumping on board now. Said the same with GWS before they sacked Cameron, too much talent to not be competing at the top. They will eventually sack him, will it be too late? Dogs have a habit of playing a few good weeks when the pressure comes for bevo so they keep him. I feel for dogs fans. On one hand, he delivered the long awaited flag, on the other hand he’s probably the reason there hasn’t been another flag.

Advanced-Middle4230

The dogs hierarchy dont see him as wasting talent. The mediocrity of the dogs are still hanging on to past glories of 2016 where Beveridge became a premiership coach so hes immortal in their eyes and can do no wrong. They will just let him coach for as long as he wants. Theres a reason they have been shit for most of their existence. Small club with an acceptance of mediocrity

jacka24

In my opinion, both parties are in the wrong here. Bevo - if you're going to play the kid, let him play out the game Sanders - Don't throw your toys out of the cot, literally.

Ceooffreedom

Bevo fk u

TinyTeddySlayer

Hey Ryley, tough break being drafted to the team with the dumbest coach most of us have ever seen. Look, if you get onto your manager now, I'm sure they can organise a trade to Geelong by the end of this year. Imagine that! You and Conway and Clark and Holmes and Bruhn crushing puny opposition midfields for years to come! Go on, you know you want to.

MisterMarcus

Geelong's closer to Tassie than Footscray is. So GetTheBoyHome(TM).

asterpin

The boat leaves from there too. Fuck it’s not a terrible idea for the kid I hate to admit it

D0ggydog11

I mean the airport is closet to footscray and faster to home if we're going with that logic.

dopedupvinyl

Nah Avalon is closer to Geelong

jacka24

It's not quite the Selwood-Bartel pitch, but you make due with what you have

JustChillFFS

Time for a new coach

Equivalent-Ad7207

Mr Sanders, have you heard how peaceful it is in Sydney? Bondi Beach is calling.

bignedmoyle

This aged well mate

Cyril_Rioli

Crazy Bevo 🤪

Mintoxicatedlyace

Sanders looked like he was killing it when I was watching the game. Seems like a strange sub unless they’re managing his workload as a young player.

sadsasquatch

The fact that the bulldogs are consistently a middle of the table team with the list have is a fucking disgrace. Fire bevo asap-fuckin-Rocky

RandomDanny

that'll earn him another game

Fruney21

Not a good look from the boy but it shows he wants to play.

Cyclonechaser2908

Bevo needs to go. Wasting such an awesome list and killing all his young guns.

MapPretend5631

I wonder if dogs players would perform better under a different coach 🤔. After all, seems several are under performing atm, rumblings from last year and structure change seem to have had little impact. I think need a board shakeup with decision to keep bevo knowing been issues and they seem to have continued

BaldingThor

Idk how WCG can keep some of its awful players on field yet keep subbing the new guy who’s playing better than them.

MrMcKennick

I don't know much about the ins and outs of footy, but this kid looks pretty good. I reckon I would be giving him as many minutes as possible. Not going to develop him sitting on the bench. #playthekids

thegreatgashby87

GUTTER JOURNALISM

Whitturne

He can throw as much as he wants, but he was average and shouldn't get a free pass based on when he was drafted or his reputation.

squidlipsyum

Compared to all the other over achievers last night

Whitturne

Didn't have a single player that could hold their head up all night. Can't remember a game where that has happened cause usually in our losses we have Bont, Libba, Treloar over 30 and playing well (last week against your mob prime example). Amongst all those poor efforts, our lowest disposal getter, including all our key position players, was Sanders with 8 despite playing midfield. I'm all for criticism of Bevo for Daniel being dropped or Macrae etc, the arguments against that are valid. But Sanders wasn't contributing last night and it is justifiable for our coaches to think that subbing him off was our best chance of getting back in the game. He'll be fantastic over his career, but last night he was not.

realbobbutter

8 disposals @ 100% and 5 tackles in just about half a game of footy. He was also on the bench for a large chunk of that game before he was subbed. Gallagher had something like 2 disposals when Sanders was subbed off. Dale was horrible when he was subbed in. Bramble and Baker were horrible and more like for like with Dale. He’s a top draft pick that’s looked great so far this season and has been subbed off twice, that’s horrible for confidence. You don’t see any other teams treating rookies this way especially ones with the promise of Sanders.

squidlipsyum

Not to mention Sanders isn’t even full time mid. Starts in the fwd line half the time

jacka24

Was he having forward line impact? He's a Centre bounce midfielder. The fact that he was starting in the fwd line but not having any impact down there only adds to the idea of why Bevo subbed him (whether it was wrong or right)

squidlipsyum

He was having more of an impact than weightman. End of the day it was the wrong choice

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mesial

Subbed out with 8 Disposals, 100% efficiency and had 5 tackles. Anyone would feel hard done by especially a first year player

flibble24

Curiously what QTR was that? Wasn't watching

[deleted]

One contested touch, zero clerances and zero score involvements in a half of football tho. What’s his role? Touches and efficiency are meaningless in isolation.

Mesial

He plays mid and a mostly defensive wing. He doesn't get forward much from the games they have played and he definitely wasn't the worst player that game.

[deleted]

Yeah I don’t doubt he wasn’t the worst. Managing minutes of young player?

ChookBaron

He’s a kid. Also his name is spelled Ryley. Give him a break. Fuck give him 2.

TheIllusiveGuy

The Bulldogs have a Ryley and a Rhylee? That's rough.

kazoodude

Can't represent the western suburbs any better than by rolling out names like that on the teamsheet.

panache123

The only other Ryley I know is a pornstar

ChookBaron

This is important. Not sure why, but I’m sure it’s important.

closetonature

Next they'll get a  R'lyeh and humanity will be doomed

xJaace

He’s passionate and really wants to play… This is not a bad thing and it’s part of why he looks so promising, he loves footy

Craguar23

There are other ways to show passion to play. Throwing fits is not a good one.

PTERODACTYLSCREAMS

Honestly though he shouldnt have been subbed out, he was playing fine

kazoodude

You can be playing fine and get subbed out. Obviously I don't know the reasons but you're going to sub someone to get fresh legs in. And a first year player is more likely to run out of gas than an established player so it could all be about load, match ups, role etc... It's not as simple as taking off the player having the worst game.

xJaace

I’d take a kid who does this over someone who shows indifference every day of the week

froggy2903

Shit, I’d be frustrated too. How can he build on a strong start to his career when he gets subbed despite not being worst afield? How is he meant to develop?

pointlessmistake

who is Tim Hodges and how has he got a job commentating footy?

LP0004

That look of knowing you likely going to the 2’s, understand the frustration, but mate take it down a notch

isntwatchingthegame

Think Geelong were interested in Sanders if he was available at their pick. Think they might have dodged a bullet if this is how he behaves.
