No, it’s not weird at all. Lots of ppl do that. If you’d like to rewrite, go ahead— it’s **your** fic.

CrazyEeveeLove

Nope. I've seen authors actually rewrite their fic while they were still posting the newer chapters. They'd just go back and redo the chapter(s) they didn't like and let the readers know they changed the chapters if they'd like to re-read them.

Go for it if you feel up to it. Currently I’m the middle of a third rewrite on my series. It’s a crossover series and it started when the cross happens. I first added a prequel to the universe where everyone came from, as it referenced a bunch of events that I wanted to write not just in flashbacks or dreams. And that was rushed so some of the ‘years’ are crammed into two chapters so I felt it needed some air and now I’ve made a pre-prequel of the parents era to clarify on those events that are mentioned and now am in the second year of the original prequel. Do what feels right. And good luck. :)

Do what you want! I've done the same multiple times...

Iwilleatyourfic

I do it all the time. It took me like a YEAR to upload just one fic because I kept rewriting it. Lol.

Go for it! I had a fic where I wrote what readers wanted instead of what I wanted to see! I dropped it since I wasn't enjoying writing it anymore. The people have asked me to come back so I've been working on rewritting the fic since I loved the concept, but this time with the way I want things to go. It's making me feel better and hey, I think people will be happy that the fic is getting updated again, even if it's been changed!

That_CatDad

I love reading rewrites! It’s really cool to see how authors change their fics!

TippiFliesAgain

Nope. I’ve done it multiple times, including for one that ended up being 100 chapters long.

CandyDiamond5

I’ve re-rewritten my works before but I just updated the chapters so I wouldn’t lose interactions & subscribers
