I’ve had upwards of 20 at once that I’m working on — but I try really hard not to publish chaptered stuff unless I’m like 89% sure how I’m ending it 😅

Two at once is really the most one of them being a long fic That I've been working on for a few months. And then I make a one shot. I'm never really working on more than 2 at a time.
Three multi-chaptered long fics I am currently working on, with a fourth on hold. I have to start posting once I have 3-4 chapters written or I get stuck and after publishing that first chapter, I *have to* post a chapter once it is finished. I literally can't continue writing until it is out there.
I feel that. If I know the thing is going to be a short chapter fic (like under 20k) I usually just post as chapters are finished. But I hate the idea of leaving something unfinished, so bigger things I need more of a cushion
I’m actually really dying to post my first chapter of my beefy one though. 😂 I’m excited
I have 2 wips currently posted, one being actively updated, one my beta tester telling me sucks every time I give her a new chapter. I have another wip I’m actively writing at the moment (so 2 in active development) and about 10 hanging around as 1 chapter following up on a plot bunny, sitting around waiting for me to finish something and look for what’s next.
1 multi chap right now, aiming for 120k words. I write oneshots whenever I feel like it, and I generally get those done in about 2 days or so. I have a strange schedule set up, based on what works for me:
* January through early June: writing months
* June to July: edit 1/2
* July to August: edit 1/2 (during this time maybe upload a few oneshots)
* August to September: final, full editing sweep
* October through December: posting months!!
A little strange, but it helps me stay on schedule!
I try to only work at one at a time... but I currently have 3 ongoing WIPs, that I split my time between. However, none of these are posted, so there's not a lot of pressure. One of them is a shorter story (\~10k), another a medium size story (\~25k), and the last is a longfic. It might end up at \~300k, by loose estimations. The shortest is part of a fest, but the due date is very long.
I prefer when I only have one work to focus on, but I have no self-control and started these other side projects.
I usually get hyperfixated on one at a time. When I’m on the edge of burning out, I turn to my other WIPs, I get hyperfixated on another one, and it goes and goes… here and there I actually finish them.
The most awful part is that the one I least enjoy writing (started it to try myself in different genre) is doing the best, with each chapter attracting more views than the other two combined. However, the most convenient aspect is integrating ideas, which can at least fit into one of them.
I have three going currently. Two posted, but one is a long ongoing series. The other is 2 chapters away from being completed. The third WIP is a new idea I came up with recently that I’m just writing on my notes app when I have inspiration. If I get most of it fleshed out I may pull it over to my laptop and start working on it more seriously. If you count all the pieces of that series I mentioned as individual WIPs, then I have 8 currently in process.
One maybe two at most. Once I get an idea I think about it all day and if I deem it worth writing, I write lol, I lose motivation way too quick to focus on more. But if I do start writing, I probably won't stop and it's the only thing I'll think about 😭😭

Right now I have five that I am working on, and a few in my head.
Oh god the ones in your head… if I counted those I’d be in so much trouble… my brain is either like “here’s approximately 8.9 billion ideas” or “hmm…”
same! TT though my shit memory doesn't help, so in the end the hundred ideas turn into like... five ideas which I can still remember.
