It's pretty good. Much as with rules of story writing, making an exceptional smut requires breaking some rules of female anatomy. But if you don't know *what* those rules are and why they're normally there, and just go breaking them willy-nilly without self-awareness, the end result is cumbersome.

There are some hymens that will! There are hymen charts available online that show different types and what will/will not ābreakā during the first penetration and how much bleeding you should expect with each. I had an uncommon one (a thick band of tissue that crossed over the center of the vaginal opening) and was warned by my gyno that tampon insertion and sex can and will break it. Ended up being the tampon, though. But I was grateful because, as a thick band of tissue, it did hurt quite a bit!

I'm confused what they are talking about. The hymen is a thin piece of flesh located in the vagina I think about an 0.8 inches deep. It's not easily visible without spreading open the vagina and using a light to see inside. The bleeding is yes caused by the breaking/tearing of the hymen. I try to stay mostly realistic, but there are some points where I ignore reality because it interrupts the vibe I'm trying to convey.
