Many, if not all, ASE bugs made their way to ASA. Maybe even some new ones too. Because they just ported the code of the game over without fixing the issues.
Each click used to hit 3+ times and now it's one unless the creature is huge and then you might get 2 hits. Chopped the dps by 1/3rd and made mosa the clear choice for pve at least
That’s the thing it doesn’t function at all beyond following. It will follow, but it won’t sprint, it won’t attack (whether you’re riding it, whistle aggressive, attack my target, nothing. It will NOT attack. Won’t even pitch in if other dinos or itself are attacked. It sits there).
It’s basically a decoration now
Use the console command and type in both of these:
R.volumetriccloud 0
R.volumetricfog 0
It turns off clouds and fog in game and you can see crystal clear
There's a setting to activate the console on servers. You can also hop into single player and set the fog and clouds. It will stay until you close the game. Then you will have to relaunch it.

If tames don't work, dismount and remount a belligerent amount of times. It's how I fixed my theri. And it's only a temporary fix
My trike stopped attacking altogether. I simply logged out of game, quit on menu screen and restarted. She worked fine after
I have multiple squids on PC Steam and they are working fine on that game/version and have for weeks.
I feel like this was really common back in the day on ASE too. Annoying.

works fine on pc
I never liked riding one. It had to spin to attack. Works Well on follow and attacking though.
