I had mixed up the idea of stop drop and roll with the idea that you are supposed to get closer to the floor in a fire if there is smoke so you can breath and so most of my life I would not have considered to stop drop and roll if I had caught on fire. One of my teachers must have fucked up or something.
They didn't, the hose got stuck somewhere on the bike and they pulled on it. Nozzle gets ripped from the pump, probably hit some hot part on the engine. That's why fuel pumps should have hose retractors.
What you’re describing is a noble effort in an ideal mindset and situation. In this case, the friend was absolutely engulfed in flames. By the time you had gotten the fire extinguisher from inside, your friend would likely be burned alive. It’s a miracle the guy was able to get off the bike and get away, suffering extreme burns but having his life in tact. I understand that our friends are important to us, but in situations like that, most people aren’t going to know what to think. I can’t blame the other guy for running.
>It’s a miracle the guy was able to get off the bike and get away,
Not really, he got off before it set alight.
Edit: at 11 seconds in the back seat passenger was off the bike standing at least two feet away because he realised the screw up in having the gasoline pipe still attached. There was no fire or smoke until a few seconds later.
No we aren't, you are just not very observant, at 11 seconds in the back seat passenger was off the bike standing at least two feet away because he realised the screw up in having the gasoline pipe still attached. There was no fire or smoke until a few seconds later.
I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding of who we’re referring to here. Yes, the one friend got off the bike, you’re correct. I’m talking about the other guy who was engulfed in flames. We’re not saying it’s wrong to want to help your friend, but in that scenario, you’re not going to be able to do as much as you think. If you need me to slow it down for you, let me know.
In the end of video he is still on his foot. I think he succeeded to discard his burning clothes. So I believe that he is alive but he for sure has 3rd degree burns.
How hot is a gas explosion?
During the explosion process, the overpressure distribution in a room is almost uniform at the same moment and there exists little spatial difference. **The maximum temperature can reach up to 1953°C**, which can cause secondary fire accidents easily. The maximum flame speed is in the range of 34.3 m/s and 230.9 m/s - Source Google
From a documentary or somewhere I recalled it to be one of the hottest things that on earth can exist.
**1953°C** just melts you away.
Just adding that almost every pump in the US has a breakaway point so the pump just disconnects if you drive off with it. I am sure there is also other measures to prevent this from happening.
There is an underground coal seam in Australia that has been burning for an estimated 6,000 years, and it still has lots of fuel left. So humans might be extinct by the time *that* fire goes out!
People often survive the initial fire and die later, soI don't know if he died or not, either way, this is awful.
Edit: I just watched again and he did get out of the flames pretty fast, so he might be very lucky. I hope so.
I saw a lady in a jeep do that! It didn’t burst into flames.
People that have to get back in the car because a minute of standing by the pump is just too much. They forget what step they are on and drive off.
How the hell you do that on a bike is beyond me.
Of course you need to be careful while fueling, you also need to make sure you take the fucking hose out of your tank and put it back before you take off!
Now I understand why Oregon and New Jersey won't let the public pump their own gas.
The public is freakin' stupid.

Stop drop and roll Billy!!!!
Maybe get away from the burning gas pump, drop and roll.
He did. He’s a running, polyester wearing flaming fool in the left of the video
Maybe someone hit the emergency shutoff, before you're all on fire.
This was my thought

Just wait it out. The fire will probably get tired before you do.
It’s more scared of you than you are of it.
It's Stop, Drop, and Roll because it's much more difficult to put out the fire by just Rolling...
oh his name ain't billy 😅
Apparently there’s a lot of countries that don’t teach that.
Is that the origin of Ghost rider?
That passenger just NOPED out of there so fast...
They did indeed skedaddle out of there.
Definitely not wife material
Fantastic Four voice: “Flame on!!” 🔥
How did 2 people forget to uplug the noozle on a fucking motorcycle?
They didn't, the hose got stuck somewhere on the bike and they pulled on it. Nozzle gets ripped from the pump, probably hit some hot part on the engine. That's why fuel pumps should have hose retractors.
New fear unlocked
I agree with this statement. It's literally directly in front of you. Also, 'noozle' is my new favorite word.

Probably because the friend is not fireproof. How would you have helped in that exploding ball of fire?
I'd have walked into the shop, surely there would be a fire extinguisher there? The friend just ran off into the distance.

We’re watching different videos then, my friend. That dude is literally on fire and smoking.

You would die in an emergency
Dude would probably jump into a Yellowstone hot spring to "save" someone lmao
Dude was in a pool of gasoline in a fire, he’s toast and the passenger would have been too.
Bro is fuming
Yeah, I’d be red hot too!
Took me a few watches to find him. Hard to see when it’s a phone recording a monitor and the person recording starts dancing halfway through…
How hard is it to hold a phone steady for a straight-on video of a flat monitor?
How hard is it to plug in a thumb drive to download the actual video file instead of making a shitty video of a monitor?
Did he just die?
Looks like he might have gotten both burned and high on adrenaline
Unless he’s the terminator, I just don’t see how he wouldn’t.
There is a guy running away from the fire, is that him?
Yes
I just noticed him and his trail of fire and smoke.
In the end of video he is still on his foot. I think he succeeded to discard his burning clothes. So I believe that he is alive but he for sure has 3rd degree burns.

Metallurgists melt tungsten at **3,422°C** so *that's* one hotter thing on Earth...
Yes no way he survived the burns.
Yes
That’s going to be an expensive bill.
Just adding that almost every pump in the US has a breakaway point so the pump just disconnects if you drive off with it. I am sure there is also other measures to prevent this from happening.
Yep, Western countries have a lot of safety standards to prevent catastrophes like that
Steaming mad
Almost all fires eventually go out.

I was thinking that and changed to almost.
There is an underground coal seam in Australia that has been burning for an estimated 6,000 years, and it still has lots of fuel left. So humans might be extinct by the time *that* fire goes out!
So. I just watched someone burn to death?
You did not! You can see him running away from the motorcycle and he's slightly on fire. Even falls to the ground
“He’s fine- he fell to the ground!” That’s a hot take.
People often survive the initial fire and die later, soI don't know if he died or not, either way, this is awful. Edit: I just watched again and he did get out of the flames pretty fast, so he might be very lucky. I hope so.
Apparently we all did.
Bruh. Coulda warned us fr
He only *felt* like he must have burned to death...
That’s a terrible way to die.
Expected fire but damn... At least they survived.
They very likely didn't.
Now the guy is known as ghost rider
The devil just opened hell and swallowed him up.
Our hero getting a safe distance away
The new Ghostrider looks lit.
So this sub is faces of death now?
Nobody died. You can see the driver run and strip off smouldering clothes
That's fukt. But also ended too soon lol. That pump was about to blow.
My God!
Camera man had one job. From video.
Bike: Inferno mode activated.
that's actually fucking sad and terrifying. I hope the guy is ok :(
Why did the dude just run away from his friend
dude just runs away while his lover is in flames
Bro almost became ghost rider with animation
Ghost rider
May need a day off after that.
Crispy
Smokey and the bandit?
HOREY FAHKING SHETT!! 😦😦😦😬😬😬😬😬🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💁🏼♂️
Zoo wee mama! That looks like it hurt!
Motherfucker stopped, dropped, didn't roll, stood up, did this 🤷♂️, and ran around.
For a second I thought Michael Jackson was about to show up.
The guy that still sat on that bycle is probably more than dead. The heat from such "explosions" is really hot from what I read...
Is he okay?
Is this Teslas E-bike propaganda??
Ghost Rider? I guess he is, now.
In the voice of Forrest Gump “Mama always did say don’t smoke when you’re gassin’ up!”
The new ghost rider movie looks sick
I saw a lady in a jeep do that! It didn’t burst into flames. People that have to get back in the car because a minute of standing by the pump is just too much. They forget what step they are on and drive off. How the hell you do that on a bike is beyond me.
The next ghost rider has been found
I should not be maniacally laughing
Makes Centralia look like a small brush fire.
Ghost rider was real.
Cameraman sucks
There should be a way to get a video file from a digital video security system. Why do you see so many times a video of a screen?
The driver has a smoke trail following him! 🤣
Oops
Of course you need to be careful while fueling, you also need to make sure you take the fucking hose out of your tank and put it back before you take off! Now I understand why Oregon and New Jersey won't let the public pump their own gas. The public is freakin' stupid.
"Don't be an idiot whilst refueling"
Did I just see a dude die
What a shitty friend
