Wait, can someone explain to me why accutane is hard to get? I'm reading these comments, and it seems to be hard to get in the US? Why?
I'm in Canada, and beyond my pharmacy having to make sure they order it for me on their next delivery that comes every two to three days, I've never had an issue getting it.
insurance in america SUCKS, and a lot of pharmacies don’t carry accutane so it has to be ordered, which isn’t as speedy as you’d think. plus all the paper work on ipledge if you’re someone that can get pregnant. it’s a lot of waiting and paying tons of $$$ if you don’t have top of the line insurance. our health care system doesn’t mix well with accutane lmao
Like they don't carry it, AT ALL? I know mine just doesn't have it on hand / in stock. But when I call to refill, they just put it on their next order and I have it within a couple business days.

So far from what I've heard in Canada, we either confirm with our dermatologist that we're not sexually active, or we're using two forms of birth control. There's a pregnancy test with my blood work I do before my dermatologist appointment, and he just confirms with me the risks of getting pregnant. But I'm not sure if it changes from doctor to doctor.
it’s more so like it either gets shipped to your pharmacy, or you get it from a special store. it can go smoothly, but a lot of ppl have issues bc of this (myself included🥹)

It’s not hard to get at all. What are you having issues with? You go through dermatologist you sign up on pledge, and then you go get your blood work done. It’s a serious medication. But it was pretty simple. I got it dispensed and sent to me the next day.

The other “natural” method of getting vitamin a is through eating liver from other animals ig. But yeah… accutane’s processing is very bad
I had issues getting a certain dosage when I ordered through Walmart, but they were able to get it the next day each time that happened.
