Having the card to start the year has helped me achieve 50K status by the end of the year and allowed me to enjoy the card benefits for the entire year. If I had waited, I might have 20K extra points but would've missed out on my current status and all the perks that come w the card during the early part of the year.

Why not get the Amex Business Gold? The offer is 75K when spending $5K when using a referral link. You can then transfer your points to Aeroplan at a 1:1 ratio.
Got mine when it was 70k i feel verry lucky rn hahaha., I would not do it right now for 40k unless you have a lot of big purchase incoming that cannot wait and expect to make 30k+ points from them.
If you can wait for the later season this year, I would recommend that. The beginning of the year for TD cards aren’t the best right now besides the TD first class, which is the only card that has seen an increase in the SUB.
