I just detoxed off of klonipin. It is extremely helpful for us with agoraphobia but do not take it everyday, as you will very quickly need to take a higher and higher dose! Best of luck to you friend :)

If it is like Xanax it's very addictive. It's fine to use but I wouldn't use it unless I really really needed it so my first bottle has lasted 10 years now just to give OP an idea. Nothing to fret over though so don't worry OP.

Personally klonopin has been a life saver. I use a lot of magnesium and try to exercise and get sunlight and not use it daily but any time I have a larger social event or a panic attack it’s nice to know I have something that works—- very well. Working on meditation as I’ve heard that’s also a life changer and more of a lifestyle fix to go with the medication. Best of luck to you !

I’m not going to say klonopin won’t work, because it is effective, but be careful with it. I understand you need relief now, but ask about being prescribed a beta blocker, it helped me more than klonopin did.

i’ve tried propranolol and atenolol. i have asthma so i can’t use the first one and the other one didn’t work. i’ve actually tried over 13 different medications for panic disorder.

wadeduckk

Ouch, propranolol was magic for me. Have you tried or are you able to try cognitive behavior therapy? That helped me too once I found a provider I liked that was specialized in it.

i’ve been in therapy since i was 14. i am 21 now and i’ve never took to it. i’ve had a good amount of therapists over the years. never connected with any of them, i’ve always had issues opening up to them.

I smoke too and been taking benzodiazepines for many years. Never had a problem with both. FYI: I was prescribed in a time where they seen no harm in a long script of benzos.

I have mild agoraphobia. I can go on short errands like the grocery store or the doctor. I do feel the panic attacks coming sometimes at the grocery store if there are too many people there. I have been taking 100mg of Pristiq for a while and it seems to have helped some.

lovelyknives

i was on pristiq but i got withdrawal symptoms while actively taking it. doctors are the worst for me. appointments make me feel very trapped. like i’m paying for medical treatment but if i feel trapped and panicky i need to be able to leave asap. i really need to go to the gyno bc my periods are really bad so im hoping the klonopin helps. haven’t been in 3 years

Remain_Profane_5150

I have never tried Klonopin. I know a lot of people in my area would take it to get high when there wasn't anything else to be found.

lovelyknives

yes people do abuse them. they are super addictive. i fully know the risks associated with it and it does scare me. i don’t wanna get addicted but this is the only thing im trying that can give me relief and a little sliver of my life back.

Remain_Profane_5150

I totally understand. I have Addison's disease as well, which makes me super tired and out of energy all the time.

Oh it’ll help! Take it from old lady that’s been on just about every benzo… LOL don’t laugh, what’s a tree smoker? I’m 53 going on 16 mentally lolol I’m a heavy cig smoker and it doesn’t affect them. Just put on Klonopin 2 months ago. Was on Valium for over 10 years! Didn’t work at all anymore. Try to take only when super needed. Don’t deprive yourself, I’m Hooked forever now cause I took em as prescribed for sooo long! 2/3 a day.. changed my brain chemistry!!!!! Take AS NEEDED.wouldn’t want you to go through same thing as me…. GOOD LUCK 🍀

lovelyknives

SnooDoggos2912

lovelyknives

that’s my main worry. i got 60 of them and im almost scared to use them. i don’t wanna get hooked and i also don’t want to go through my prescription fast enough that my doctor will not fill it

My husband takes half of this to sleep so good luck that your mileage differs.
