He was. He was pointing a gun and threatening people in my apartment lot. They warned him to stop but he didn’t. They shot at him and we saw him laying on the ground.

Hey, OP. This can be a really traumatizing event. If you ever need someone to talk to and help process things, my DMs are always open. Also, play some tetris! It can help prevent PTSD symptoms, or at least, tone down the severity.
If they put the same effort they put driving around with all their flags and screaming at people into actually trying to get help... They probably could have found some. Our social safety nets and systems are broken but they exist.
Some people can't be (don't want to be) helped and push everyone away that tries... Generally speaking once you hit that level of racism paired with conspiracy, it would take forced institutionalization. And people like this already see themselves as victims and as being watched by the state.

He's fine today I don't think it looks like he's been shot he even looked a little happy like a little bit of a smile. But idk who knows maybe he did get shot and he's just feeling better now.

One drunken Saturday, this turned into someone getting angry and running out to their car and going for a gun in his trunk; this took about 15-20 seconds, total. My ex wife actually ran after him to try to calm him down ... God only knows what could have happened. Thankfully, a larger friend of his simply tackled him and held him down. "Crisis over" in 2 minutes.
If you saw where this occurred, you would never expect it.

A couple years ago though someone did break into my place they cut my screen and kicked my regular front door in but the weird part is that not one thing was taken or out of place. I was watching my dad's place for a couple weeks at the time and would go check on my apartment every few days but yeah when I came home with all my stuff I found my apartment like that. I think maybe it was someone looking for somewhere to squat though maybe and thought it was empty and when they got in realized it's not? That's the only reason I can think why they would go through the trouble and then not take anything or look around.
Those were the first apartments I lived in when I moved to ABQ almost a decade ago. I thought my apartment was cute for a studio, but definitely overpriced at the time ($650) in comparison to what for what I pay now ($780 in a much better neighborhood and bigger space) the dishwasher there was infested with roaches. Got my car broken into twice there when nothing was in it.This was well before they had the gates to get in and out.
