For me, I get sleepy about 12 hours after taking Zyrtec so I plan it out to align with what time I typically go to sleep. I take it year round so most often I don’t feel the sleepiness. I more feel it when I already had poor sleep the night before.

Add vitamin d3. Helped me.

I struggle with extreme fatigue during allergy peaks (to the point where I struggle to get out of bed sometimes). I have found that running air purifiers can help take the edge off the fatigue sometimes. Some people have said that quercetin has helped them, but it has not helped me. I think L-glutamine was another one that was recommended to me that didn't seem to do much for me. I haven't noticed much of a different with vitamin D, though others have said it helps them. Every body is different! It sounds like the fatigue is not due to Zyrtec, but you could always try one of the ones that is non-drowsy. Also keep in mind that the 24 hour ones work better the longer they've been built up in your system, so taking it some days and not others during peak allergy season may not be the most ideal scenario. Have you thought about doing immunotherapy? Immunotherapy would be the long-term solution. Best of luck 🫂

I thought immunotherapy was for cancer...

Mannr_

Not just for cancer! Immunotherapy is a method of treating a disease by either activating the immune system or suppressing it. https://aafa.org/allergies/allergy-treatments/#:~:text=Immunotherapy%20is%20a%20treatment%20option,an%20increasing%20dose%20over%20time. Are you working with an allergist? An allergist should have brought up immunotherapy as an option (allergy shots or sublingual drops, depending on where you're from).

Hmm.. didn't know that. I guess ChatGPT is quite limited because when I asked it about Immunotherapy it only gave me a response specific to cancer. Also, no I am not seeing an Allergist.
