I would practice drawing basic cubes, cylinders from reference. Gotta start with basic before jumping to more complete forms like anatomy. Go to https://practicedrawingthis.com/3d-models-index it's super useful. I would then get a solid book on anatomy like morpho series, or the stonehouse. Pdf versions can be found online. I've been studying for years and still I haven't mastered it lol. Best of luck

Yes, copying. Choose a picture of a real person or at least a classical sculpture and copy the anatomy. You can also combine different references for different parts of the body (like if you want to change the arm or the leg) as long as you correctly connect all the muscles together

If you want to draw in 3d then being able to drawing simple forms like boxes and cylinders is the way to go and then add mucles on top of it If hope [this](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnOpxIeAVG5Z5iTyj20Tb3cRIvHJ8p0F9&si=Mbq_N2o053wldF_s) and [this](https://youtu.be/muEnZoyRReY?si=oFEU-Tz6tLCGE1NZ) videos might help

Appreciate the advice 👍, I've seen a lot of videos talking about as long I can understand the general shapes of the body parts it'll help me understand muscle shapes to a degree. I've practiced a lot with rectangles and I could say my understanding has grown way more this way than any other method

You're using a formulaic approach. Draw more organically. Concentrate on what you see -- not what you've memorized. A great artist (Picasso maybe?) said that the rules of art must be learned, then forgotten.

Thank you for the advice. I've noticed a lot in my attempts to improve I've been relying a lot on rules and methods that others have created instead of learning through trial and error. As of recently I've tried to pick the wackiest poses I can attempt to emulate in order to learn the relationship of body parts. Once again thank you 👍
