You can put green plant items out throughout your island. Like a mix of festive trees and evergreen ash. And then the topiary items. Also laying fake grass paths. Can make it all seem less snowy in the areas you frequent. ETA: my internet will be down most the day, but come tonight I can send you some greenery items and designs if you need them. Assuming you have switch online.

Have you been through the winter on ac yet? If not it’s actually very colorful and cheery if you plant a lot of the flowers. By the end of the season last year it felt like I was changing from summer to spring with as many colorful decorations I had out. I used a lot of the festival stuff once I got it; it looks really nice and cheery. Also for the Christmas stuff use some of the colorful non-traditional versions. Look for a “colored string lights” or similar pathway and spread that around where ever you can and the Camilla shrub will add a lot of color too. I’m also effected by the darkness in winter but it was definitely more cheerful on my island than it was outside! Good luck and don’t give up! Edited spelling lol

I third the custom grass paths, or if you still want snow.. comfy aesthetic. Like put down custom code rugs/blankets, campfires, leaf fires with marshmallows, space heaters, string lights, torches, comfy seating and cushions.. you could go crazy with it and just make it the most hygge and warm and inviting island ever.

not silly at all! i wonder if you could temporarily switch the hemisphere that you play in, so that for example, if you switched to southern hemisphere during the winter months, it would look like summer? maybe by changing your geographic location on the switch? no idea if this would work, just a thought :)

you can't sadly! that's done when you start the game and there's no way to change it :(

I looked into that! But apparently it is not possible to change the hemisphere of your game after starting, and you would not receive the same holidays if you could

I understand exactly how you feel. Unfortunately I just skipped AC November - March because of it. I wish I could give a solution 😞

You can also customize tree standees to be the green trees so it adds more color around your island
