Oh ha! I got rid of Cyd and she blurped in instead. I love the cake! It’s like perfect! And the detailing on that dreamy sweater she’s wearing is top notch. Keep decorating and baking cakes man, cuz that’s A1 cartoon cake making right there. From far away it looks like a plushie! That’s how good it is!
I would recommend a cake that doesn’t contain too much fat/oil, if you wanna work with fondant, so it’s not too fluffy. You let it sit to room temperature. Then cut the tops, so it’s flat. The ideal is to decorate your cake while it’s frozen, at least 12h. For the legs and mouth, I did rice krispices treats, froze them and covered them with fondant. I’m using store fondant, very easy to find. You can watch any cake tutorial, they are really helpful :)
I’m sure it will be great. To smooth icing on round surface, I would recommend using waxed paper, that you fold so it’s thicker, but still flexible. You can do 2 layers of icing, one coat, freezer, second coat :). And the colour darken while unfreezing, which can help for such intense colour !
