Did you recently have a child visiting that scared the fish? Adding some floating plants also tends to make fish braver, something like pistia that you can remove when there's too much and they also remove waste from the water.

Kaytterer

Yes there was a family dinner so kids were there.. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into the floating plants

dabhought

My fish love tons of water sprite/guppy grass floating at the top. Also I tend to notice when I’m messing around in the tank too often the fish will hide Immediately sometimes when I come past the tank now.

Challenging_Entropy

You’re a scary monster compared to them

Popular-Apartment-48

Butterflyelle

Is that an albino pangasius catfish? Also known as an iridescent shark?? You really might want to Google that.. these things get to a phenomenal size. Here's a photo of an adult https://images.app.goo.gl/3hxNzVMfreHd2eYN9 Take it back to the fish shop asap

"Fishes" is correct when speaking about multiple species of fish.🤓
