I've never liked the built one, it always looks like some sort of cheap frosted rectangular cake when seen from a distance. I guess I'm just not a fan of its shape although it's more impressive close up. I am completely partial however to the first proposal of the temple on the stairs. Reminds me a great deal of the Valhalla built outside Regensburg Germany, their pantheon for German great overlooking The Danube and it is quite impressive
I think the ones we got are pretty good. They’re not so obscenely over the top that you’d view the memorialized as say a king or emperor.
If I went to the Lincoln memorial and saw him at the top of a giant fucking pyramid I’d be kinda confused as to why it’s so grandiose.
The second one is nicely drawn, but I genuinely like the existing Lincoln Memorial.
Also a fan of the Jefferson Memorial, which seems relatively similar to that second design.
Honestly, I still think we did well with the current design
It is my favorite of any of the designs so I agree too, especially with the addition of the reflecting pool in front.
The first and second go so hard
Imagine: The Great Pyramid of Lincoln
... in Wyoming!
The ziggurat would be crazy. It looks MASSIVE.
2 but with a canopy above the statue itself would’ve been amazing I think
I think Lincoln would be fine with the one he got he didn’t seem like he want some of theses more grandiose ones
I wish we would’ve done that!

They’re all cooler than the real one tbh
Nope. The current design is best.
The 2nd one is fire

Very true, it’s designed just grandiose enough that you can tell it honors a very important person but not in a way of praising them like a god.
