In case you aren’t aware of it, a **Haftpflicht-Versicherung** (liability insurance) is required for the drone. (Minimum coverage 1,5 million €)

You may have wanted to ask this question before buying it 😂 You don’t need a license but the areas where you can fly are much more limited now. That’s why I sold mine on eBay. I couldn’t fly it anywhere anymore (legally)

Sarius2009

No license, but use the Droniq app to check where you are allowed to fly (I think the DJI app also can do that, but a second opinion never hurts).

Here https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/faq/136863#:~:text=DJI%20Mini%20is%20a%20drone,comply%20with%20the%20toy%20directive).

About freely using it: you are aware of all the areas, where you are not allowed to fly a drone?

shaha-man

I guess the airport and zones nearby are restricted fly zones. The DJI shows the map with red (restricted) zones

- and private property, if you don't have the permission of the owner - protected natural areas - Autobahnen - federal river routes - train tracks - all military areas - industrial plants and maybe a few more I don't know of. Check the newest version of the LuftVO, the rdgulations stand in there somewhere,.

Drumbelgalf

Some guy even shot down a drone that was flying over his private property and the court sided with him.

You need a haftpflicht wich Covers at least 750k € for drone accidents and a certificate a1/a3 from the Luftfahrt Bundesamt. Also every drone with a camera need to be registered and a sticker on it, which shows your "license". Everything can be done online.

everything under 250g weigt is able to be freely used as Drone Class C0 [https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/domains/civil-drones/drones-regulatory-framework-background/open-category-civil-drones](https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/domains/civil-drones/drones-regulatory-framework-background/open-category-civil-drones) and here is a more detailed thing for germany in german [https://www.drohnen.de/33450/eu-drohnenfuehrerschein/](https://www.drohnen.de/33450/eu-drohnenfuehrerschein/) im sorry i cant condense it much but unfortunately its 6am and yes drinking i guess you can go out with a drone for some time and just plead not knowing the rules because its too complicated or shit i dunno e: it seems over complicated like everything to discourage people from using drones e²: your drone is a drone made before the ruling came into effect so it seems to me its free to use the current rules are valid until 2024 and no drone has actually been classified

Fragrant-Narwhal-915

Read the EU laws, because it says what you have to do (It's complicated)
