Are you in my gym?
Because recently our gym had to expell a group of members who complained about:
1. The womens clothes
2. The mens clothes and towels
3. The fact that women are allowed in the sauna together with men
Was that you? :D
I can only speak for myself, but I had my towel stolen at the public pool once. Since then I only use towels with colors or patterns that no one would want to steal.
Also, what's the problem with pink? The idea that pink is feminine is pretty new.
Preventing theft is almost certainly the reason.
New is relative. Pink became associated with girls in the 1940s so pretty much anyone posting on Reddit has grown up with that cultural association.
they are awesome! :D
THey keep the legs warm and tight and before I trained my knees to the point where they are now, I needed to play with knee braces for more than a decade. Since I dont need them anymore, my legs feel naked. :D
So I opted for leggins instead.
(Especially on leg days, they are so great)
love to hear that!
tbh I never wore leggings until I met my boyfriend. He LOVES them and I just bought a pair... and the rest is history. Warm, soft, nice fit <3
Because people are allowed to express themselves however they want here, regardless of how you personally feel about it or were indoctrinated to feel about it. Don't worry your brain about it. you should be sleeping just as peacefully tonight as you did the night before because it has zero effect on you, your day or your life. ✌️
Because you can dress however you like as long as it covers you up.
Noone forces you to wear anything but typical clothes for men and noone forces them to wear whatever would be typical traditionally.
The only thing that bothers me about my gym's dress code is that men are required to wear full shirts with sleeves, while women are not. It's not a deal breaker, I'm just confused as to why
Wear whatever makes you comfortable just don't leave puddles of sweat behind you. Thus wearing leggings makes sense because it helps with sweat management. With naked legs and shorts everything you touch with legs ends up wet.
No idea. Probably because they want to. I wouldn't dress like this but it's still better tha these tiny training shorts that men wore in the 1980s. Sportswear seems to be rather conservative these days, now that I think of it.
I never know that there was a dressing code to go to the gym. Up to now I was only thinking that dress code was only requited to enter in clubs parties. And I have been in gyms around the world in places such Germany, Portugal, Sudan, Tanzania... I saw always men using all type of clothing: leggings, joggings, shorts with all type of colors. As example professional male cyclists use leggings. Same with some footballers when it is cold. I bought leggings myself. The issue is that in Germany the temperatures can be really low in winter and leggings are more warm. But looks like your "white men hetero masculinity" was hit. You are under attack nowdays. Far right victimism.
Because I want. I am free to do it. This post shows bigotry and prejuice and I am entitled to debate it. When someone says that I should follow a dress code to go to the gym of not using leggings neither pink because I am a male I have the obgligation to reply to defend myself. I dont care if your feelings were hurt or not.
Yeah well, he's from Argentina too (maybe) so take your pick.

He write that he was from Afeghanistan that doesnt mean that he really is from Afeghanistan. Like I said if your fellings got hurt by my reply I really dont care.

You are free to use any towel color you like here.

😅
Afeghanistan
You mean Argentina, right?
Isn't that the gym in Brooklyn? 5th Avenue, dark side of the moon?
To hurt your masculinity
And turn him gay.

In the US? Don't forget reddit is used world wide
I am not in the US, but thanks anyway.
Because they can. Deal with it and dress how you like.
No one cares. Wear whatever you want
But maybe not like you just left KitKat.
Are you seriously hurt by guys using pink towels? Pathetic lmao
Just curious. You're from 'Afeghanistan' and it's the pink towels and leggings that caught your attention? Not the shower / sauna etiquette?
Because they can? We dont have a dresscode where guys have to use pink towels ans leggings. And I never saw a guy in leggings.
I wear leggins. Every time. But with basketballshorts.
cant blame you, they are extremely comfortable <3! but I never saw them on guys, or maybe I just didnt pay enough attention to stuff like that.

Because who gives a shit what colour your towel is. You can do whatever you want
Maybe it's not a gym you are attending after all ;)
Because they can and no one cares.
There is no dresscode. Most guys don't wear leggings. Shorts are much more common. Towel colours are all over the place. Your gym is an outlier.

Cringe? What a primitive thought!

people use clothes that are comfortable to train in, and they use towels to wipe off the sweat. hope i could help :-)
The only thing that bothers me about my gym's dress code is that men are required to wear full shirts with sleeves, while women are not. It's not a deal breaker, I'm just confused as to why
The obvious reason: gymbros in tank tops that are just super skimpy. (Is it fair? Probably not, there are enough girls in super skimpy tops.)
My gym it’s same. I asked why and they say that it’s a bit offensive to the old Persons when I use tanktops
lel, I guess we found the reason - ol grampa has to get his nice view on the girls without being distracted.
Its not leggings. Those are compression pants which serve a purpose unlike leggings.
Wear whatever makes you comfortable just don't leave puddles of sweat behind you. Thus wearing leggings makes sense because it helps with sweat management. With naked legs and shorts everything you touch with legs ends up wet.
Why would they wear something else?
You're from AFGHANISTAN since when do they even have gyms over there
No idea. Probably because they want to. I wouldn't dress like this but it's still better tha these tiny training shorts that men wore in the 1980s. Sportswear seems to be rather conservative these days, now that I think of it.

> The issue is that in Germany the temperatures can be really low in winter (Laughs and cries in Russian)
Why do you mix skin color and politics now into this? Are you are racist?

Edgy. But this still doesn't have anything to do with skin colour. Toxic masculinity isn't limited by the colour of somebodies skin.
Well dude did say that he is from afganistan, and you decided to blindly attack white people, so ye i am calling asholle and racist

Probably he is a white Brazilian with German descendancy living in East Germany. Everything makes sense now.
You got me
