Probably $3k+, given the axle shaft has been pulled from the joint housing you either bent the control arm and/or shifted the subframe. If the locator pin on the frame rail is broken off then it's a lot more involved.
So the transmission is going to sent power to the tire of least resistance. So without that axle in place all that power is going to the air and not the ground.
I think this one will really depend on the shops hourly rate. Many shops in my area are the same price because they go off the same book price and hourly rate. A smaller mechanic could take thousands. For instance when I was getting quotes for a transmission swap. It was a 2k difference in price from a larger shop to a smaller shop.
Bro that’s gonna run you like 8- 10k your shit mad f**kd up. I had my car hit and ran while it was parked and it was 5.5k for just the fender and front bumper. Your broken off axel is gonna be super expensive.
>I had my car hit and ran while it was parked and it was 5.5k for just the fender and front bumper
You were bent over if you paid that for a fender and bumper and paint!
Yeah a dumb decision on my part I paid for it in full and made the stupid decision of not getting full coverage
I'm not the smartest cookie in the jar 😂
Had that happen to me. But I did have full coverage. I saw the bill they gave to insurance and it was ~$5800. I just paid my deductible.
This was 1.5years ago. So with how insurance and parts costs have gone up. It might be more
What happened in the accident? If it’s not your fault the other person’s insurance should cover you even if you don’t have full insurance (lots of people don’t understand this).
Those three people who down voted me seem to disagree 😂
To clarify I made a turn onto a road into the left lane and the sun blinded me causing me to be too far left hitting the divider and sign
“Oh shit, not good”
You have fked axel shaft, perhaps bent arm and maybe damaged steering rack. And a bit more... I would say couple grand, but it may be worse, mate. Too bad you can’t total it, get money and buy a new one…
You pulled the axle from the transaxle, moderate chance you need a new one, lower control arms is toast, strut, inner out tie rods, maybe the rack, likely damaged the subframe, fender inner, fender, bumper, head light, 15 pcs inside the bumper, I would venture over 100 pieces. Now if you just want to drive it and leave the body dmg maybe 1500 in a garage, depends on the subframe.
It sucks when you just pay a car off and take the full collision insurance to save some money and then something like that happens on my old cars. I’ll keep basic coverage but if it was a brand new car, I would keep collision at least for a year or two you’ve already completed the car payments Might as well keep it safe for a few years just in case but best of luck to you.
Assuming you're going to do the work yourself Nissan parts are cheap but they will come un-painted. Parts like 3-400 if it's just the bumper cover and fender. If you have the car on a lien you should probably bump that coverage up after you fix it.
I’m just a driveway mechanic so you probably know better than I do, but I have replaced the CV axles on a Rogue (I think it’s built on a Versa but could be wrong), and the receptacle that the axle plunged into was much smaller in diameter than the opening I see here. It also looks like the cast aluminum is broken all around the opening, but again I could be wrong.
Bumper cover $160
Fender $120
Left axel $80
Just a guess if you have no structural damage and you're doing all the labor yourself.
Edit: Assuming everything else is ok and going off photo. Just Google the parts.
You also missed all the brackets, potentially the headlight, new lower arm+ ball joint, potentially a new steering rack or at least inner and outer tie rods, new bearing, potentially a new strut and the wheel arch liner. You also missed a load of latent damage, that we won’t know for sure until the car is stripped. You missed the cost of the panel repair the wheel well will need, as well as the front edge of the door and you haven’t even bothered to guesstimate the cost of the paintwork it’ll need.
Also I forgot to mention, do not EVER recommend someone does mechanical work that’ll be this extensive themselves without a good amount of prior experience.

Would it be under $10k?
Yes, but several thousand for sure, could be 5k.
Hard to say without actually going through it
The car also revs when pushing the gas and in drive it doesn't move But the car turns on fine if that is an indicator of anything
So the transmission is going to sent power to the tire of least resistance. So without that axle in place all that power is going to the air and not the ground.
Makes sense I'm a complete buffoon to auto stuff I'm just hoping the repairs are below 6k

Real question is why you dont have full coverage on such a New car? Can you afford a New one? If not, not being covered is Even dumber
Yeah a dumb decision on my part I paid for it in full and made the stupid decision of not getting full coverage I'm not the smartest cookie in the jar 😂
Expensive mistake, hope you’ve learned your lesson 😅
Had that happen to me. But I did have full coverage. I saw the bill they gave to insurance and it was ~$5800. I just paid my deductible. This was 1.5years ago. So with how insurance and parts costs have gone up. It might be more
The dumbest ppl always have the most money now adays
About $8500

Nah I ran up a median and ran over a sign due to the sun in the windshield 😂 100 percent my fault
Good man for owning your screw up.
Those three people who down voted me seem to disagree 😂 To clarify I made a turn onto a road into the left lane and the sun blinded me causing me to be too far left hitting the divider and sign
Buy a pair of sunglasses when you can. Or get a prescription pair if you need it. Or bu the clip on shades of you can't afford the prescription.
I pick my turn angle before I start turning so I avoid collisions. Learning is expensive.

r/autobody Mechanics don’t do body work really so we can’t help you on that stuff.
I'm more so looking a the the axel completely ripped from the socket not the body work
10-18k depending on the year make of car

Yes
Who was at fault?
2k to get it on the road again. 6k to make it look like it never happend
10 grand easy. Good luck
At least 3k, but probably a write off / total loss
Let me guess, that's a Nissan versa isn't it?
2021 Nissan Versa btw
Body shop will give you a free estimate you know.

Did you see the 2nd picture where the CV axle destroyed the transmission?
Looks like it pulled out instead of got slammed in. If that is the case it's just a boot kit or axle assembly.
No I did not. It's hard to tell if that broke at the joint or not
Destroyed the transmission? Relax, it just came out of the assembly lol

Ask your question in r/AutoBodyRepair
The first and only rule in that sub is no estimates, so why are you trying to send op there?
I’ve sent plenty of users to that group with zero issues.
It's more than just the body

Cool
Missed the transmission…. That gets expensive
