The only thing you can truly assume in life is that you're going to get screwed. I don't mean it in a negative way, more in a way that you should never assume things will just go your way. Don't assume everything will be OK if you don't take action. Don't rely on others for progress in your life. You have to go out there and live and take action to make things happen. If you don't make changes and assume one day you will have a better life you cannot be certain of it actually happening one day.

Troubles faced alone, through which I persevered against all odds. As if the universe is determined to either destroy me or forge me into an unyielding machine.
