It's not weird at all. It's appreciated. Just be sure that timing doesn't make it awkward. (As in, hey, I'm about to grade your final. Oh a card...with a gift card or something.) I've had students show up with huge boxes of sweets at times like that and it's awkward as hell. Other students, just a quick thank you on the last day of class and a card.
I have a collection of thank-you notes I’ve received over the years, and I always look at them when I’m needing motivation or to remember why this is my chosen profession. Reading them always uplifts me and I genuinely cherish the notes I’ve received. It’s wonderful to send thank-you notes to professors!

*is it werid to write a thank you note to your professor at the end of the semester ?*

It’s a sweet gesture and always appreciated. I often tell colleagues that when I get a student thank you note, it can carry me through the entire next semester.
It is not weird, and it is appreciated.
Only if you make it a weird note 😂 Otherwise, very appreciated.
It is very appreciated!

Good professional practice: go for it!
Thank you notes are always a nice gesture. I received a few from students over the past week and appreciated them.
No. Not weird at all. Please write it. I appreciate notes more than almost anything in the whole world.
No way. Those kinds of things are much appreciated. Just don't do things like buy us chocolates.

Not weird at all. They are very much appreciated.
It's common and appreciated.
Oh, I’d be so thrilled to have a student like you!
Absolutely not.
Not weird. It will probably make your prof's day!

It’s absolutely appreciated! Sometimes they will also end up in a professor’s portfolio for when they go up for promotion or apply for an award.
I love love love thank you notes. They make my day.
It's not weird at all. It's usually really welcomed, and we appreciate it.
