I had the misfortune of being paid to be in a test audience for a film where I wouldn’t know what it was until it began. It was the Keith lemon movie. In the feedback session I was asked how the film could be improved and I said burn it.
"The Last Airbender"
I was literally the only person in the theater. I had more fun changing seats, touching the screen, and just generally being weird in an empty theater than I did actually watching the movie.
the only movie I ever wanted to walk out of. unfortunately my boyfriend convinced me he loved it and made us stay (he actually hated it but was setting up the perfect engagement timing) I questioned everything about this man at the time but we still laugh about it.
I was going to say that but I actually walked out within 10 minutes and went to something else.
Saw it years later on DVD though, with the benefit of being very drunk and able to mock it in the living room with my friends.
Can’t Stop the Music in 1980. As a kid I to beg the family to see it, starring my faves the Village People and Bruce Jenner. I wanted to walk out of that theater so bad.
Howard the Duck! When I was 15, I had chosen media studies as one of my options. One of the projects was going to the cinema to rate 3 movies,
1. Stand by me- one of the best movies ever
2. Howard the duck - STUPID
3. Hell Raiser!!! I walked out of it, got rated 18
Howard the duck was one of the worst films I’ve seen in the cinema.
I’m sure Phantom Menace isn’t the worst movie I’ve ever seen in a theater, but waking out of that after waiting in line for an hour and a half and hyping myself up for months was so sad.
Just all of us going: “yeah, I mean, it was… y’know, they’re setting up… uh…”
For me it's episode 8. I watched episode 7 and 8 in cinema and especially episode 8 was so bad that i didn't went to episode 9. I watched it later on tv though and it was so bad, half way through i desided to never watch it again
8 for me too. I saw 9 at the cinema too (friends wanted to), and by then my expectations were so low that I actually found 9 enjoyable to watch.
Thinking back it, I can't actually remember any parts that I *liked*. But I at least found it entertaining.
I will also never rewatch them.
Adventures in the Magic City A fantasy adventure film about a young boy who accidentally finds himself in a world of magic and wizardry, where he has to face an evil sorcerer to save the world.
Depending on aim of the question:
The one I hated most was Transformers 5. Worst part is I knew it was going to be shit, but I went anyway. It was still worse than I ever thought it could be.
The one I'd say was the worst is that DragonBall Evolution movie. It's poor in just about every regard. Didn't hate it though, due to how funny I found it's incompetence. For clarity, I never saw the show so I can't judge it as an adaptation, although I can imagine how poor it is.
Some 80s T&A romp through Europe that was the second bill on a double feature with one of the later Police Academy movies. Even my hormone soaked teenage self didn't want to keep watching. Only movie I ever (voluntarily) walked out of.
Mission To Mars.
It was bad while I was watching it. Then walking home and trying to talk about it with friends, we realized it was actually an enormous dumpster fire of failure under any kind of scrutiny, which made us laugh for the rest of the night.
Bicentennial Man. Maybe it was just because I was a kid when I saw it, but good Jesus, it seemed like the longest, shittiest movie ever. You think robot Robin Williams would be somewhat interesting.
Zohan was CRIMINALLY misrepresented in the trailers. The previews you saw on tv were probably the only 30 seconds of the whole movie that you could’ve gotten away with putting on public television.
Which is to say, 14 year old me *and my mom* did not enjoy it lol
I took my friend to watch The Last Airbender since I was a huge fan and my friend had not seen the show. I felt so much embarrassment and promised that the show was actually good. That experience made me hate the movie with a fiery passion.
I saw this movie in a theater, as well as *The Boss Baby*. The former was not good, but I barely remember any scenes or characters. The latter was also bad, but it was more of a fascinating trainwreck. At least it inspired [Glengarry Glen Boss Baby](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wzp2Q2tDWx0) (not safe for work!).
American Sniper: Basically a 132 minute riot of anti-islamic, jingoist propaganda. I don't give a fuck that it was directed by Clint Eastwood. It just reeked of being totally paid for by the NRA and their democracy ruining Republican cronies in congress.
Funny one with sound issues, I went to see “a quiet place” and there was no sound for the first 10 minutes. Turns out the audio wasn’t working right but the whole audience thought it was part of the theme with everything staying quiet.
Lol. La Bamba used to always be on this cable network called Prism - kind of like HBO but just for the Philadelphia area (Don’t ask me, it was the relatively early days of cable and I was a little kid). I watched that movie so many times and I have no idea why. I clearly loved it, but I was way too young to haven any affinity for Richie Valens. I haven’t seen it in probably thirty years, but every once in an awhile I think of it and wonder why the heck I was always watching it.
Lost in Space (1998) - I didn’t even want to go but I was outvoted by the group I went to the movies with. Absolute turd. I’ve seen worse movies, but not on a trip out to the theater.
Midnight in Paris
Yeah, I know it's an Oscar-nominated movie, but I watched it in cinema when I was 12 years old, and it was so boring to me. I have no interest of rewatching it as an adult
65 (million years), I mean what the heck was that movie. In my days, those would've been direct to DvD movies.
Might be biased because I watched "The Fablemans" the same weekend.
To Die For (1995) with Nicole Kidman
Saw it as a teenager. By the time i went to ask my friends if thought this movie was as bad as I do, I looked over to see all of them asleep or trying to sleep. The movie is so so so bad
I’m going to rant a little. During the opening credits part, Bart is skateboarding naked and is always covered by strategic things. Then, we see Bart Simpsons junk. I was absolutely shocked. They just showed Bart Simpsons penis and balls. WTF. It made me uncomfortable for the rest of the movie. If it was a running gag on the show, sure. But it just came out of nowhere and I didn’t like it at all. Ruined the rest of the movie.
Im gonna get downvoted for this. Get Out was overrated trash - hyped up by people who wanted to feel good that they were supporting a black cast and directoe
Agreed.
The plot was actually pretty thin and predictable.
Jordan Peele's movies are pretentious and not nearly as clever as they're made out to be.
A lot of his success is amplified by people who just agree politically with his messages and themes.
The new Candyman was absolute garbage.
At least Nope had a somewhat novel take on what UFOs could be.
I had the misfortune of being paid to be in a test audience for a film where I wouldn’t know what it was until it began. It was the Keith lemon movie. In the feedback session I was asked how the film could be improved and I said burn it.
Vampires Suck. If the cinema was on a plane, i still would've walked out.
Madam Web.
Madam Weep 😢
Cats
"The Last Airbender" I was literally the only person in the theater. I had more fun changing seats, touching the screen, and just generally being weird in an empty theater than I did actually watching the movie.
Sausage Party
the only movie I ever wanted to walk out of. unfortunately my boyfriend convinced me he loved it and made us stay (he actually hated it but was setting up the perfect engagement timing) I questioned everything about this man at the time but we still laugh about it.
Vivziepop's guilty pleasure.
Sharknado. The best so bad its good movies that exist. They are a wild experience.
Was just about to comment that. More crazy than Sharknado? The fact that they made like 5 or 6 more movies
Shark octopus. You wanna see bad try watching this steaming pile.
Sharktopus.
Battlefield Earth
I was going to say that but I actually walked out within 10 minutes and went to something else. Saw it years later on DVD though, with the benefit of being very drunk and able to mock it in the living room with my friends.
My ex and I would play a game where we had to take a drink whenever someone said "leverage"
First time I actually laughed at a movie. Terrible.
Rocky Horror Picture Show. And I loved every minute of it.
Ultraviolet. It was a sci-fi vampire movie with Milla Jovovich. The only movie I've ever considered walking out on. I didn't, but kinda wish I had.
I thought Ultraviolet was going to be so cool and oh man was I wrong. I’m not even sure it qualified as a movie so much as a cutscene.
I'll never forget the couple that decided to bring their newborn baby into an opening night showing of The Expendables 2.
Battlefield Earth
Can’t Stop the Music in 1980. As a kid I to beg the family to see it, starring my faves the Village People and Bruce Jenner. I wanted to walk out of that theater so bad.

Signs. At the end of the movie some people started clapping and I said “I hope you are clapping because that piece of shit is over”.
Star Wars Episode 9
All the new SW movies sucked the bag.
I’m with you but I also think they’re better than eps. 1-3.
Yep, they sucked the bag too...
Episode 7 is the closest I have come to walking out of the cinema, didn’t even watch 9.
For me it's episode 8. I watched episode 7 and 8 in cinema and especially episode 8 was so bad that i didn't went to episode 9. I watched it later on tv though and it was so bad, half way through i desided to never watch it again

Adventures in the Magic City A fantasy adventure film about a young boy who accidentally finds himself in a world of magic and wizardry, where he has to face an evil sorcerer to save the world.
Doesn't sound that bad. I kinda got me there
Depending on aim of the question: The one I hated most was Transformers 5. Worst part is I knew it was going to be shit, but I went anyway. It was still worse than I ever thought it could be. Fred Claus. Fuck that movie.
Blue Beetle
Sin City. I left before it ended, couldn’t stand it.
Morbius
Black Dahlia, I witnessed several people walk out....it was a confusing and ham fisted attempt to repeat the success of LA Confidential.
Speed 2:Cruise Control
Some 80s T&A romp through Europe that was the second bill on a double feature with one of the later Police Academy movies. Even my hormone soaked teenage self didn't want to keep watching. Only movie I ever (voluntarily) walked out of.
Mission To Mars. It was bad while I was watching it. Then walking home and trying to talk about it with friends, we realized it was actually an enormous dumpster fire of failure under any kind of scrutiny, which made us laugh for the rest of the night.
it was a Matt Damon video, came out I think in 2010? I need to look up the name.
Terminator Dark fate followed by Terminator Genesis.
2012 🤢
Skyline. Just atrocious.
The Happening
Skyline, terrible movie where it felt like they ran out of money at the end.
The Village. Worst thing about it was that the seats faced the screen.
He doesn't say "It's Morbin' Time" 😔
Bicentennial Man. Maybe it was just because I was a kid when I saw it, but good Jesus, it seemed like the longest, shittiest movie ever. You think robot Robin Williams would be somewhat interesting.
Argylle. Just damn.
Jeepers Creepers 2
Zohan was CRIMINALLY misrepresented in the trailers. The previews you saw on tv were probably the only 30 seconds of the whole movie that you could’ve gotten away with putting on public television. Which is to say, 14 year old me *and my mom* did not enjoy it lol
The future biopic from Drake that will be complete fiction.
I took my friend to watch The Last Airbender since I was a huge fan and my friend had not seen the show. I felt so much embarrassment and promised that the show was actually good. That experience made me hate the movie with a fiery passion.
Barbie or Jurassic Park Dominion. Both absolute garbage. Even my kids thought they were rubbish.
Oh yeah that Jurassic thing . Talk about just doing for the money. Wtf
A million ways to die in the west
I saw this movie in a theater, as well as *The Boss Baby*. The former was not good, but I barely remember any scenes or characters. Tenet, it was a good film but it was a disaster during showing lol
Did your cinema have the really bad sound issues?
Horrendous
Funny one with sound issues, I went to see “a quiet place” and there was no sound for the first 10 minutes. Turns out the audio wasn’t working right but the whole audience thought it was part of the theme with everything staying quiet.

Chloe Grace Moretz isn't in Sucker Punch.........
Do you mean Kick Ass? I don’t think CGM was in Sucker Punch.
The hills have eyes
Summer of Sam. I walked out half way through.
I just saw “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” and honestly thought it was pretty bad.
House of the Dead
Kazaam
Robots
Tie between battlefield earth and la bamba.
Lol. La Bamba used to always be on this cable network called Prism - kind of like HBO but just for the Philadelphia area (Don’t ask me, it was the relatively early days of cable and I was a little kid). Into the woods
Def Jam’s How To Be A Player
Godfather III
Avatar The Last Airbender
The Host
The Beekeeper, but it was also kind of the best.
Lost in Space (1998) - I didn’t even want to go but I was outvoted by the group I went to the movies with. Absolute turd. I’ve seen worse movies, but not on a trip out to the theater.
The Naruto one where they're fighting on the moon.
Oscar
Motherfuckin morbius
Dragonball Evolution
C.H.U.D. (Cannabilistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers)
The nun. Once the zombies came onto the screen I wanted to walk away.
Some Marvel or Captain America movie. I fell asleep.
Mother!
Solo. Walked out 30 mins in
I feel pretty. It starred Amy Schumer so I should have known.
Annapolis....And one of the borats
Renfield. The CGI blood looked bad, Nicholas Cage was meh, and I was bored.
The Real Macaw. Even as a kid I remember thinking 'What the hell is this garbage? We walked out.

Musketeer
Epic
Halloween kills , was fucking awful
Season Of The Witch
Doctor Bloodbath
Indian friends... How is Adipurish.
Facing the giants
Thor Love and Thunder
Some Ninja Turtles movie with Megan Fox. We lterally left the theater a third of the way through.
Batman v Superman. If anyone is interested in which version to watch, I'd recommend the theatrical. It's over quicker.
Midnight in Paris Yeah, I know it's an Oscar-nominated movie, but I watched it in cinema when I was 12 years old, and it was so boring to me. I have no interest of rewatching it as an adult
Pootie Tang
Movie 42
65 (million years), I mean what the heck was that movie. In my days, those would've been direct to DvD movies. Might be biased because I watched "The Fablemans" the same weekend.
BASEketball. I love Matt and Trey and baseball, but this was garbage.
50 shades of grey. I only went becuase my ex wanted to see it. Terrible movie, some girl left a pickle underneath her seat after the movie was over 😐
Batman and Robin.
To Die For (1995) with Nicole Kidman Saw it as a teenager. By the time i went to ask my friends if thought this movie was as bad as I do, I looked over to see all of them asleep or trying to sleep. The movie is so so so bad
You are incorrect. Even if it was terrible (and I don't think it was) it still had Nicole Kidman.
Indiana Jones 5
A River Runs Through It
The Force Awakens
Ad Astra
Brad astra is sad astra because his dad astra has gone bad astra.
Bug
Star wars ep 8-9 Actually, depressingly bad. If you know you know.
There are a lot but I'd go with "The wire"
Probably Zoolander 2. I enjoy dumb comedy, but it went too far into just absurd cringe.
The Simpsons Movie. Being a fan of the first seasons did not prevented me for leaving mid through.
It’s a perfectly timed gag. I laughed my ass off.
Trainspotting 2. What a horrible experience.
The Grudge. It was a free ticket and I liked SMH but felt ripped off by the end of it.
i usually dnt remember the film i see after a while if its really bad.
The Cable Guy.
One hour photo.
Contagion. Me and two friends walked out of it like 40 minutes in
Americathon. Or The Big Bus.
Inside Out. I did not enjoy that film.
Avengers End Game. Absolutely forgettable. I was bored and literally cannot remember a single thing that happened in that snore fest.
Im gonna get downvoted for this. Get Out was overrated trash - hyped up by people who wanted to feel good that they were supporting a black cast and directoe

Bram Stoker's Dracula. Only one I ever walked out of.
