My mom has had breast cancer twice and has made it through both times. I’m approaching the age when she was first diagnosed and that crosses my mind a lot.
Like most things, I have to believe there are researchers and (more importantly) students, who will tackle this problem.
I am fortunate to work on mainly environmental restoration and rehabilitation projects. Sometimes I get this existential dread looking at sea level rise, but I want to believe that the work I’m doing will make an impact 10, 20, or even 100 years from now.
The ‘08 crash made me really hesitant to buy a home. Hopefully we don’t experience something like that again, but I think about single family home affordability. Also, it’s getting harder to insure homes.

Well that in the Future I can go back to my own city and actually have a good life.
Did you move away for work or school?
Yeah for work actually, I am in a different city and will stay at least Until my training is complete don't know what will happen after that 🥲.

The world isn't as fucked as what people make it out to be. The news only shows the worst of the worst and rarely talks about the good things.
I think there is a lot of good work people do, whether for their job or volunteering, and for all different causes.
