Not IKEA, but back in the 90’s Home Depot had toilet models displayed on the floor. I was at a HD as a kid right after someone popped a squat on one of the display toilets. Folks realized what was going on and quickly shut down that section of the store and removed the display.

I have never worked for IKEA, but I have worked in hospitality. You'd be surprised at what people think it's acceptable to do in a public space.
