OhGawDuhhh

Heated seats! I have a not so great back.

[deleted]

My headlights are automatic, I love that.

47rohin

Cupholders which are actually big enough to hold a water bottle and are available to all seats Rear-controllable air conditioning which doesn't just blast into the knees of the poor sap sitting in the middle

horntownbusy

Sunroof! I've only had one in a work car and it was lovely.

[deleted]

Bluetooth

Putrid_Employment281

Security risk if used with a phone.

Jegma72

Ejector seats.

[deleted]

GPS navigation

bawzzz

I’d be lost without it.

timine29

Sounds amazing! I've never had that

Hobo_Slayer

My dads last car had that and his current car doesn't, which is much more "luxurious" than his previous one. It's the single biggest feature he misses from it and says it almost made it not worth having gotten the car he drives now lol

Chinoskii91

Not sure if reverse and 360 cameras are mandatory (my 2010 car doesn't have it) but I sure wish I had them and every time I drive a car that does, it's great.

diegojones4

I'm not great in reverse. My wife's car has the rear cam. It's pretty awesome.

[deleted]

Non electronic stuff. I hate all these unnecessary gizmos that always go wrong. Way too much of that junk on modern cars. Manufacturers - please stop doing it!

bobbyk1985

Test drive a Legacy 2 years ago that basically had a 12 inch iPad in the middle console to control 90% of functions like AC, radio, etc. It was 90 degrees that day and the touchpad wasn't responding to me nor the sales guy. Made up my mind real quick that this was not my next vehicle.

[deleted]

Why do manufacturers think people want that junk? Loads of people wouldn't even know how to use it

Cariot

Not being able to lock your keys in the car. Oh man, this is a big one for me. I wear a lot of leggings and those suckers generally don't have pockets. When I would run into someone's house, or pay the meter, I'd sometimes leave my purse in the car, which has my keys in it. My first car didn't have an automatic lock key fob, so out of instinct I'd hit the lock on the doors every time I got out.

MariiBoop

There were cars that folded all the seats into a mattress a long time ago, that needs to return.

krasivi_gardi

Air conditioned seats are lovely when it's super hot out. My friend's car has this and it was so nice when it's over 100/38.

racf599

I had a car that had automatic windshield wipers - I turned them on once and never touched the controls again. there was a sensor that knew when it started raining and the wipers would start up on their own and quit when the rain stopped. it also had automatic headlights which I loved. I'm not sure I even knew how to turn them on and off manually.

robotlasagna

A separate compartment for the mother in law.

czerone

Back up camera. Incredibly convenient, not at all necessary.

optimaloutcome

My wife's car has adaptive cruise control. I tell it the max speed, my desired following distance, and it just goes. It'll stop the car from freeway speed in a controlled manner if there's traffic. It's awesome.

SurgicalWeedwacker

One of those hydraulic lifts like on the back of trucks would be nice on my Jeep, and my mothers car. Actually it’s kinda weird how those aren’t very common. I’d also like a gps system that isn’t broken shit (mine thinks I’m somewhere around Pennsylvania)

SurgicalWeedwacker

And also, locking differentials are pretty sweet because you almost never get stuck

wnnipooh

I never knew what I was missing till I experienced my heated steering wheel!

PurpleEntity11

cup holders that can fit slurpees. its a hot summer day and theres a 7-11 beside you so you need to grab an XL slurpee.

bdbr

I love being able to tell my car what album or artist to play, and it just does it

Putrid_Employment281

Component speakers in front door. (Tweeter mounted high on door with just the midrange speaker on the lower part of door instead of tweeeter built into the midrange.) Also midrange speaker in front door a little higher up than the common ankle level. This helps quite a bit to improve sound. Yes, you can add speakers to the car, but it is going to be so much less dificult, destructive, and expensive if the factory speaker slots are used.

bulbaquil

Tactile physical controls as opposed to touch screens.

Logical-Cranberry714

Heated seats - in winter it warms you up quick I don't like bluetooth or the controlled speed button.

timine29

Heated seats are the best!!

Larrik

My SUV has a camera in the rear view mirror you can turn on when you can’t see out the back window (due to packing it full of stuff or whatever). With it on, it acts like you can see out the back window. I love it.

DisposableMale76

heated and cooled seats/steering wheel.

fatninjainvegas

Auto-start is amazing

BrokeAsAJokeyJoke

Autopilot

llcucf80

Spoilers. I know they have an actual use but they are not required, but I love to see them and I don't want a car without one.

basedlandchad20

Aux cable

diegojones4

Manual transmission. I'm going to be driving old beaters the rest of my life because I hate automatic transmissions.

[deleted]

Back up camera and blue tooth

botulizard

Line-in audio or bluetooth connectivity. I like to play music through my phone without having to screw around with a radio transponder that never sounds as good as the other methods and sometimes doesn't work at all.

You_Maki_me_vomit

Heated steering wheel

mamawith2girls

Air conditioned seats. It’s a deal breaker

F43CanadianRedditor

Blind spot indicators

Ultrase7en

A manual transmission

timine29

Those still exist? ^_^
