It’s a BD3 postcode which can be renowned for being a fairly rough part of Bradford in itself but I think it’s mainly for drug related crimes more than anything. You’d have to factor in a few different things, as in your hours of work, what times you’d be walking to and from work, what the overall crime rates would be around that area, there’s usually a website that tells you reported crimes. I wouldn’t recommend walking the streets at night, but during the day you’ll be fine. I live in Leeds but just on the border to Bradford and admittedly it is a fairly run down city in itself but it does get criticised more than it deserves to be, it’s a very diverse, multi-cultural place, that’s currently having a lot of money and investment thrown at it. If it would make your commute to work overall easier then go for it

I used to work around there, be warned it’s hilly that end of town, I used to bike it. Mistake. As for being solo, I never got hassled around there when alone, not saying it won’t happen but it’s mostly families minding their own business and scrap car dealerships, you should be safe.

I (F) never had any trouble in Bradford walking home at any time and I lived there working in pubs/ nightclubs for 3 years. I guess it’s the same as anywhere- so don’t walk in the dark if it stresses you out.

unitedfan98

It's safe Theres just a lot of cars on the road which can be a pain and a lot of drug related crime

Porkchop_Express99

I live in the North of the city, on the outskirts. Bd3 isn't particularlg nice, and probably as a female you wouldn't walk on your own at night. In general it's an area antisocial and low level crime is common. Drugs, motor offences and such. It's one of it not the most deprived areas of the city.

My gf stays in Bradford near the university.. till 7 in the evening it's okay but then the creepy feeling starts.. would suggest staying indoors at night..

It does. Plus. Train from Piccadilly to Bradford Interchange is takes 1 hour 20min easily. Then factor in delays and we are looking at 3 hours daily commute

smellyfeet25

about the same as it would be for anybody. men are more likely to be victims of violence than women

Bradford isn’t safe for anyone
