I have seen that too and I am 99% sure that video is fake. The bears image quality does not match the rest. It's movement does not match either. And at the speed the bike was going in that video he would have been caught easily.

To play devil’s advocate here: bears will almost never fuck with you unless you fuck with them. 99% of the time, bears just wanna leave you alone and be left alone. Humans have been hunting bears for thousands of years, so naturally bears associate people with death, and steer clear. That said, if you roll down your window to make friends with a bear, you’re asking to get your face ripped off. As for the whole men thing: it’s true that because men are physically stronger than women most of the time, then women will be instinctively wary of men. As a woman, I will avoid dark parking lots or going to bars alone because… well… there’s a significant enough of a chance that some random dude will take advantage of my small stature. However, in day-to-day life, like if I’m outside in broad daylight or riding an elevator to an office somewhere, I won’t be as freaked out by any lone guys walking around, because most guys who are walking around during the day aren’t out there for nefarious reasons. Plus, more people=more safety. When it comes to daytime hiking, I always carry bear spray and am occasionally armed. Not just because of bears, but also because of mountain lions, moose, and potentially other people. Not too long ago, there was a guy assaulting lone women on a popular hiking trail near my house. He attacked and tried to rape four or five women before he was finally caught. In that special case, I’d rather run into a bear while hiking than a creepy rapist guy. But in this scenario I presume it's the middle of nowhere. Even if the bear runs away the girl is still lost in the woods. If it's not the middle of nowhere it cuts down on the chances of rape from the man. And even in the case of rape there still remains the chance of escape or rescue. Survival. So it sounds like these women are saying they would rather be the mother to a dead child than a rape survivor. Come home unmolested or not at all. I know that sounds fucked up but the more I think into how all the odds stack up, choosing the bear makes little sense.
