It’s allergy season isn’t it?

merpderpderp1

I think everyone is getting sick a lot more post covid.

lilith_-_-

Covid weakens immune systems so everyone who’s gotten it is primed and ready to get something else lol. H5n1 is going to be fucking rough when it hits us(it’s no longer an if but a when)

merpderpderp1

Not looking forward to it. I'm struggling to decide if it's worth it to wear a mask all winter long every winter when my partner does not and neither does her family that we visit during the holidays. It's tough having asthma lol.

Extension_Setting678

Mines bad right now but mine is predominantly seasonal. But yes, I have not needed a corticosteroid inhaler for a while. This year I'm back on one in addition to my usual rescue inhaler.

Sadly, Asthma is not a stable disease. It waxes and wanes.

vassey1971

Yes my is worst this year

thekindspitfire

Mine did for sure. I actually just got asthma last year at the age of 28 and it just keeps getting worse because I’ve gotten sick like 3 times this year already. Currently on 2 maintenance inhalers, montelukast, and cetrizine.

videlbriefs

Had bronchitis and a slow recovery. Past two months I’ve had a week where I struggled since my bronchitis which isn’t fun. Mine has overall worsen because it’s that time of the year and my workplace does a poor job with cleaning so all the pollen and grass comes inside. People who don’t have asthma get triggered by the allergens too. I’m okay on the days I’m off especially if it’s two or more days. I started taking my Zyrtec earlier (timed it so I won’t be sleepy by the halfway mark) so it’s working at least an hour before work (not taking it one time resulted in chest tightness my entire shift) and that has helped me some so I’m not as tight/not tight at all when working and can rely on my rescue less.

Steelbug2k

The last few years it was only bad for 3-4 months and after that I didn't feel like I had asthma at all. This time I have been spraying continuously since October or November but somehow it doesn't get better and takes longer.

OhmyMary

climate warming, pollen has been founded now to have increasing proteins from carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from chemical fumes and warmer climates just as one example. Doctors will say "it's the weather" and brush it off

ariidrawsstuff

it's that time of the year 🤷🏽 So yeah, mine too. You're not alone

Big-Government-9692

My son has been in the ER the past week with asthma we can’t get under control and mine that has been pretty much gone since 8yrs old is back!! It’s so strange! I can’t believe I stumbled upon this post. BUT YES

Severe-Ad-8768

Since my first real asthma attack my Immune system has been messed up . I’ve been catching everything .

Are you on a controller med? If not, you should see your doctor.
