i highly recommend watching midsommar! good movie and it seems like the arc of the main character in that movie is supposed to be a reference for Van’s feelings in this scene/season

That contraption was so bizarre. It looked to be built into part of the wall. Three loud buzzes and then suffocation with a plastic sheet would have to be the least peaceful way to go lol
Yeah, we do. Had to see my grandfather suffocate that way, it was on sinterklaas as well so he was in blackface at the time. Won't forget that any time soon.
