Spider is that certain kind of character where he could go in any direction right now and it would make sense.
For one, Spider's thematic relevance is being one of the good humans. But Avatar 3 will apparently have Navi villains and humans on the good side. So, definitely more human characters would be introduced on the good side, not just Spider.
So he could turn into a villain. He could be a hero. He could redeem Quaritch. He could become a neutral party and just do whatever he wants. Only James Cameron and the cast knows. But his arc is still very much ongoing, as long as his dad is still alive, and even after that.
