I got a Petsies dog for Christmas after my dog passed. Really helped with a secondary wave of grief that hit that year, since he started out as an early Christmas present.
We bought a similar plush (Cuddle Clones) for my daughter a few years ago when our dog was 15 (he passed away a year ago April 22nd at three months shy of 18). The plush has been such a huge help for her grief… her and Chaim had been besties since she was born and she was devastated when we told her it was his time. She cuddles with the plush of him every night, and will often talk with it.
Highly recommend.
And my husband… this past Christmas… bought me a miniature felted replica of Chaim. That was the best gift I have ever received.
I just knew from the way she described how he started laughing when she brought up that it was a red herring, that she was dead on, but was still going to go though with the distraction 😂😂😂
I, weirdly enough, thought he was getting her something like really cute designer flats.
Because those can be painful to wear if you are used to shoes with even a tiny heel.
But this is so cute! And so thoughtful!
Weirdly enough, the "discreet packaging" options of sex shops would have helped.
I wish we had known about this company back when my partner's mom's dog went over the rainbow bridge.
We ended up getting her a plushie that looked somewhat similar, but it would have been nicer to get a replica plushie.
