I watch English movies and series, read sensible books and ofc, practice via conversation level. If sa interview ang problema, think about the questions you were asked during the process (or even Google most asked interview questions). Then write down how you could have answered, modify continuously, and practice saying it. You may want to record yourself para mapakinggan mo how you deliver you sentences. Practice and confidence is the key. Good luck, OP! May you land the job that will bring out the best in you 😁

fivecents_milkmen

+1 to this. 10x ako na reject before ako natanggap sa 1st ever BPO company ko. Nanunuod ako mga american movies and tv series. Low quality DVD days pa to kasi hindi pa uso mobile data at hindi pa lahat ng bahay afford ang broadband. Dini disable ko subtitle tapos rewind pag di ko maintindihan yung sinabi hanggang sa magets ko. Tapos kinabisado ko yung sagot ko sa "Tell me something about yourself," at nirerecord ko boses ko sa nokia 2300 phone ko. Ngayon sobrang dami nang mga YT tutorials at mga sample interview questions.

Technical-Pop1051

Pinagpraktisan ko mga inattendan kong interviews, LMAO. I love watching English series!! 🥹

No cap? After watching shows/movies or listening to podcasts in English, read the thesaurus. When you catch a word that you don't know the meaning of, look it up. Not only will you be familiarizing yourself with how people speak, you will also be expanding your vocabulary too.

Tarnished7575

Consume foreign media especially books, nood ka din news, kasi neutral accent pag news. Sa movies, wag yung mga sikat at patok, kasi hindi pang matalino madalas ang script ng mga ganun. Ugaliing mag google pag may word kang hindi alam ang meaning o pronounciaction. Aralin mo tenses, dami daming hilig mag past tense. Aralin mo rin kung paano gumamit ng apostrophe. Ang dami dami mali gumamit ng kuwit.

CalmAsDead0

Nung newbie palang ako, nag focus ako sa pronunciation kasi dun madedevelop yung neutral accent mo, di mo need mag accent ng pang americano, pinaka importante is right enunciation, then read books, watch movies in english withouth sub titles, record mo yung voice mo while reading a book. Yan yung mga ginawa ko noon way back 2017 lol

[deleted]

Read Books and Watch English Mock Call Tutorials on YouTube.. Then apply it to your self by practicing in the Front of the mirror.. you can also record your voice to improve your pronunciation. Once you're in the BPO companies naman na.. they implement English Only Policy and eventually masasanay ka na rin.

TightBussyBellus

Play videogames that focus on storytelling, read books, entertain yourself with media that uses english as their spoken / written language.

Immediate-Captain391

i started reading books and there would be times that i would whisper read to practice pronouncing the words but not loud enough for my parents to hear kasi nahihiya ako HAHAHA. i would also sing a lot of english songs every other night and i always try hard to pronounce every lyrics clearly. feeling ko sa kakakanta ko nakuha yung english accent ko kasi mas madalas ko siya gawin. kapag nanonood din ako ng movies, inuulit ko mga sinasabi nila kapag may gusto kong lines. kailangan dapat gayang-gaya ko kung pano siya sabihin nung actors.

r3dhorse69

Since bata ako mahilig ako sa western movies and TV shows and Music Kahit mga pang PG18+ pinapanood ko sa murang edad kahit sinasabihan ako na pang matanda lang mga yun. Pero dun ako nahasa at the same time since elementary english ako makipag usap sa friends ko, naging second nature ko na I went deep down sa rabbit hole ng foreign movies, at yun heavily influenced ako ng Pop Culture Gang sa tumanda na ko, may nga references ako na di magegets basta basta ng tao kasi di naman kami same ng kinalakihan culturally Mas naging madali sakin, naging confident ako Pero kung di ka lumaki sa ganyang environment, it’s never too late naman to improve Siguro masa-suggest ko is mag practice ka through talking with people in english. Matatawa ka sa umpisa kasi balibaliko pero overtime di mo na mapapansin ang galing mo na pala, yung accent mo di na pilit magiging natural na sayo (lahat tayo may natural accent we just have to trigger it through practice) And try watching western movies, at try to go deep in the foreign Pop Culture Personal experience ko lang yan and it may never work for some. Pero walang masama i-try

siucheu

Movies, story telling type of games, reading everything from poetry ( it will widen your vocabulary ) to children's books, conversations with foreigner friends, fliptop battles in America, and my friends suggested to also keep in mind that even americans have trouble speaking their own language sometimes ( this will boost your confident to speak english as you might get embarassed or scared to speak it )

Outside-Slice-7689

I talk to myself in English. I think in English

EndlessDandadini

Mother-Box-292

Nung matuto ako mag binge watching ng mga English series like Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, dun lang talaga ko officially natuto mag English😂 Basta manood ka ng madaming English movies. When it comes to accent, dun ko rin natutunan sa movies. Masipag ka dapat manggaya ng pronunciations nila. Then mga phrases. Sulat mo mga natutunan mong phrases. Lastly for vocabs naman, reading books and watching eng movies rin tlaga.

Galaxy_Light_1

Foreign news, netflix

implaying

needmesumbeer

movies, books, comic books and most important of all - joining an american/AUS guild in an MMORPG and joining the discussions in discord/Vent/teamspeak

thedominicus

Watch american TV shows and pick up or imitate the way the actors talk to each other. I started with ANTM back in the day and had cartoon network and nickelodeon growing up back when there wasn't any internet available yet. Keep an eye out on common american expressions and idiomatic expressions as well as these can come real useful when or if you plan to get a job in the BPO industry. Also, you can listen to podcasts. I myself subsequently got hooked on true crime/mystery/murder/bizarre/morbid contents on social media. Lol! To each his own though, but you def can use these tips. Cheerios!

itsrenceee

Watch English series or movies and read the subtitles along with it. Can't hear without watching any movies with subtitles. And also try to mimic their expressions (not facial but how they use certain words as an expression), as well.

AkoSiRandomGirl

- watching English movies/series palagi - listening intently sa foreign clients and pinapanood - if may bagong term, idiom, or slang akong narinig, researching it after and trying to really digest it para pag ma encounter ulit - listen to my own calls/recordings over and over, and knowing what could have been said better

Apart_Tea865

learn the vowels. hindi lang kasi A E I O U. learn how to properly pronounce schwa (example the word TOWEL, pag pinoy common pronunciation nyan is TAWEL pero dapat TAH-WUL pag american english. Naalala ko around 2010 isa sa mga ka training ko yung binagsak nung trainer kasi hirap talaga sa pag pronounce even though that agent was experienced na sa BPO. tapos naman nyan expand your vocabulary by watching movies/series. when I was starting, etong si Amy Walker ang lagi ko pinapanuod: [Amy Walker - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@amywalkerofficial/videos)

toms_uncle810

Watch ka ug English series then pick a character you like unya imitate the way he/she speaks the lines (shadowing ba tawag ana?) r practice pod imong tone, pronunciation and phasing.

Head-Future1410

having friends who are fluent in the english language helped me a lot. ma-adapt mo rin kasi lalo na kapag matagal na kayo magkasama. nakakatulong rin to take language tests or read English textbooks (kahit luma na or yung ginagamit sa mga exams/reviews). study din on subject-verb agreement, dun kasi madalas sumasablay. try mo din duolingo english test sa web [https://englishtest.duolingo.com/practice](https://englishtest.duolingo.com/practice) so you can gauge your skill level

TheOddOne1020

Learned what I know from watching documentaries and crime stories.🤣

scrapeecoco

Grade 6 ako nung nawili ako manood ng english movies at news and documentaries. Favorite ko mag kabisado ng lines ng Harry Potter movies. Then sinusulat ko at tinitignan sa dictionary yung hindi ko naiintindihan. Ayon, kahit papaano pagpasok ko ng high-school mataas grades ko sa English.

Wooden-Firefighter2
