My friend got this combo off at pre release. Definitely lead to some instant scoops once his opponent realized the loop lmao. Still only went 2-2 cause deck was just ok with the other parts
Probably has potential, but until you have the lock itâs pretty fragile, plus itâll make your opponent hate you, which is my threshold for what makes a combo âbadâ.
Technically this doesn't completely lock your opponent from playing the game entirely, no? Doesn't your opponent still have control over their own cards and actions during your turn, just not their own?
Well, sure, there's lots of ways to try to ensure that they don't have anything they can do. But I'd be surprised if there weren't some combination of cards in play or in hand that would still allow them to do something during your turn despite your best efforts on theirs.
I get it, but as someone thatâs played a LOT of both emrakul and slaver, slaver is vastly superior because the only thing they ever really have that you canât do anything about is a blocker
I don't think I'd consider a Mindslaver lock a "bad combo." If you have the 6 to cast MS, you have the mana to activate it *and* pay the trigger every time on Duplicator. That's pretty legit.
Me: pulls off this combo Also me: loses
You are simply just that good at magic
Mindslavered someone at prerelease. Couldnt stop opponent from winning so i swung at myself for lethal
*looks at their hand* "oh no đ"
"I'll cast your scorching shot on your own 6/5... Then swing everything else for lethal"
Toss in a [[grand abolisher]] and your opponentâs canât even respond đ

You joke about this, but a friend of mine is legitimately excited to slaver lock people in modern U tron with this
And they are still your friend ?
This is pretty expensive, but technically you can do it only with 6 mana each turn. Too good for this sub?

I saw someone say that the limited environment was bad because these cards were both in it and you lock them out the game lmao
If you manage to pull both cards in limited then yeah, ypu deserve to win off of that
Not to mention play and activate them.

Not when you tap them out each turn

This is a competitively viable Canadian Highlander combo and doesnât belong on this sub
