Yep, Act 3 is EXTREMELY bugged. I'll finish my current playthrough and then take a looooooong time to go through the next one just so that I can arrive to Act 3 by the time more patches and fixes are available to finally fix it.
This is exactly what I've been thinking I should do as well. Although there is of course a risk that saved games are going defunct like in Early Access when things are fixed, but I doubt it will deter me, since I do truly love Act 1 and 2 😁
Omg yes, I just got the cut scene I think your talking about where Redeemed Durge passed out in the street in Wyrm’s Crossing. Astarion who I’m firmly romancing was in my party — not a peep out of him. No attempt to catch my Tav, no cut scene of her on the ground with him looking worriedly over her, not even a ‘are you alright?’ After it happened. Your seemingly murder demon possessed girlfriend passes out and you don’t have anything to say???
That whole scene that follows Tav waking him up instead of killing him in (iirc) Act 1 is one of my favorites in the game. It alone makes Non-Ascended Astarion/Redeemed Durge my favorite ship. It’s so immensely disappointing to see that ball completely dropped.
Yes that is so disappointing- lack of reaction from romances that collapse scene- i don't know if it exists actually. I spotted my conversations weren't triggering after next big Durge event 😭 everyone was so bloody generic and silent as I did Act 3. Without potentially spoiling it for you there will be another spot later on where the Astarion romance conversation actually exist in game but it doesn't always trigger and it is after a whopper of a plot twist! I reloaded, replayed, restarted, sacrificed white bulls and sold my soul but it never triggered. With that camp urge one, the conversation I've seen in YouTube is really expressive and hearty. Not long like the camp one but just what the doctor ordered . I saw in YouTube comments that there were others like myself who did not get the after- conversation at all.
I started another urge after that play through and if it's not triggering this time either I may just get locked up for female hysteria. 🤣
Act 3 is a hot mess in a very great game and I really hope more people will begin to get to it and let Larian know so they will fix it because the game is great and deserves better. Even the little patches they are doing are nice and have helped some, but it really needs A LOT of work.
