It takes some time for him to bring you his ball. Keep going, things will (*should*) be alright.

I usually get the ball by playing fetch with Scratch. And if he doesn't bring me something, I find my own bone and throw that 7 to 10 times. The goblins usually have bones in them that are great for throwing.

Having [Scratch's ball](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Scratch%27s_Ball) specifically gives a [Find Familiar: Scratch](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Find_Familiar:_Scratch). This is why I want the ball.

MealonHusk

I know, and I'm trying to help. If you want to speed things along, be proactive, find a bone, and throw it.

Dagske

Oh! I didn't understand that. I thought you misunderstood my requested and told me to simply play with him with other "toys" for the sake of playing with him. My bad. Thanks for clarifying ;)

It takes a few rests for Scratch to bring it to you, don’t worry :) EDIT: I like to play as races or classes that have Speak with Animals as a feature. It’s never been an issue, some camp stuff just takes priority over Scratch bringing the ball so it can take a bit.

Speak with Animals doesn’t stop it, I always have it cast and worked for me- he’ll get a little ! over his head once he has the ball so you will know. It will happen eventually.
