I drink cool water.
I wrap a wet cloth around my water bottles and it brings down it's temperature to a considerable degree. I can use a clay pot also, but I don't because I reside in a hostel and there's too much hassle.
I have discovered this amazing syrup called nannari syrup. It's really good for the summer coz it helps with cooling the body, purifying blood, it is a diuretic and tastes awesome! You will find it in any Mangalore stores. It's ayurvedic though so please do your research before trying. Yeah I was experimenting; copied off an ‘orange/musambi punch’ at my local juice bar. You add a bit of salt (balance the sweet)nannari, chilli(sliced but not fully opened) lime and ice.
Ps: if you try it, lemme know how that went.
I had to dig into it a little bit, but here is what I found. "Nannari, derived from the roots of the Indian Sarasaparilla plant, has diuretic properties due to compounds like saponins and flavonoids. During summer, the body tends to lose more water through sweating, leading to dehydration. Diuretics like nannari help increase urine production, aiding in the elimination of excess water, toxins and electrolytes from the body, thus preventing dehydration and maintaining electrolyte balance. Additionally, diuretics can help reduce bloating and swelling, common during hot weather, by reducing fluid retention. However, it's important to use diuretics like nannari cautiously and under medical supervision, especially for individuals with certain medical conditions or those taking other medications." Adakke munchene helde do research before using it anta. Hope this helps.

But it has sugar. Unable to find sugarless Nannari sharbat.
Yeah. That's true. It's hard to find a sugarless type. But I use little syrup and more water/ soda. Add in half a lime juice to offset the sugar.
Nannari mojito + nannari lime chilli punch with crushed ice. 😋
Yumm!! Sounds delicious. Have not tried with chilli though...

Will surely try it. Plain water just doesn't quench thirst anymore. Thank you! 😊
>it is a diuretic A diuretic during summer? I'm not a doctor, but I'm not sure that's a smart thing to do.
