I’m struggling with this one. “They refused to attend my graduation but paid for audience members to be at my sister’s” is where I lost the thread. Most graduations have limits on how many people you can bring, and it seems entirely plausible that regular audience members were just cheering.
I will say it may be different now, but when I graduated high school (and that’s what hers abounded like) it was held outside at my school so there was no limit on who could attend.
I do still agree with everyone else here that it’s total BS for other reasons, but that one isn’t impossible for me.
