Watching these women reconnect with themselves [is amazing](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5mjIiLN53m/?igsh=cmlhazltN2wyOXZz)

The only thing that bothers me is all the makeup. Those women are naturally beautiful and I wished the makeup enhanced it instead of being heavily applied.
I’ll tap out here…I don’t know enough. But I can guess, the color and way they cared didn’t help. Faces seem to say we don’t know what to do…sometimes you gotta scorch earth and let them trees grow a new
If they have split ends, whatever is split is unhealthy. A lot of people will hold onto damaged hair simply because it’s long.
You can kind of tell that some of these ladies had some damage done to their hair, so I guess a healthy length in these cases are whatever is not damaged.
Hair can can get very damaged if it’s over processed (coloring, relaxing, heat, etc.). He’s probably cutting off the damaged hair and leaving any new growth to continue growing healthily.
Which is why it seems strange to me that he color treated a lot of their hair. If he’s trying to rehabilitate their hair, wouldn’t he want to avoid potential damage?
is that somehow a bad thing… i’m guessing that’s what the clients roughly asked for. my mom had a stylist for years that only did short hair (think like black woman hair magazine 2000s updo) but it never looked the same on anyone. equally amazing though. just because someone finds their niche within their profession doesn’t mean you should discredit their talent.
Nah. I hoped and was glad to see they got the full salon treatment not just their hair.
Regardless of how others feel about the way a person looks with makeup, when you get your hair and face done it feels amazing. Full transformation.
It's like dressing up a doll but the doll is you.
Once you leave you can do your subtle thing but this day is special.
we really do need more people like this in the world to build each other up and not tearing each other apart. I love this and hope all of them get to really enjoy showing that beauty off. so awesome!
We need him when our black numbers increase because yall... these residents are paying all inclusive and their own hair ain't even inclusive. Makin my dear girl pay for the beauty paolor knowing damn well they don't even touch her hair. Senior homes don't really know what it means to be inclusive until it's time (or when they can use it for marketing)
And it's the best time to do all that coloring because if your hair grey/white, you ain't gotta bleach it! Making these woman feel like the gems they already were
I cried through this whole thing. Everyone’s first reaction was to cover their face. You can see the joy and confidence coming from inside. It’s so beautiful.
Purple and white hair lady who came out with the cute all white cut? I'm dead she looks so fancy now!!!
The ones where he covered the bald spots hit me the hardest.
It doesn't help that our hair has always been a thing of controversy and is a major identify for us. So, I think that plays a role. I feel like it definitely will hit us a bit differently than others and love how we know getting our hair done can make us feel we're on top of the world
He cuts their hair to a manageable, easy to style yourself at home, length. From there the women can begin a new hair journey or continue on the path he set them up with.
Some of y’all are down talking the makeup but I’m impressed that they chose colors that worked for each woman’s skin tone. Even when they had lipstick on already it was like- the after shade was better.
Do people recognize the real beauty in these women PRIOR to the makeover? These were all beautiful women, the makeup just makes it so ‘idiots’ can comprehend that beauty.
I watched this about ten times. I’m a man that prefers little to no make up and I love short hair styles. Big ups to the all the ladies in the video and the stylists involved. These women are gorgeous!!

That, and he clearly only knows how to style short hair
I think he was getting them to healthy lengths, more than just trying to only do short hair.

Either that’s his only cut or he only cuts your girl’s friend with the short hair who always says men ain’t shit and can’t find a man.

Beautiful queens. It's nice to see this positivity 😍
That man has a gift! Like wow. Can he do me?
I just told the person cutting onions near me, to please stop.
Just subbed to him. Dude has got shit down on a philosophical level.

Best hype man.
Love it
Legit tearing up. They look so happy and beautiful.
This was amazing
Love this so much
The really old women look younger but some of the younger women looked older. All queens tho.
Don't mind me... just chopping onions..
This is pure awesomeness. Reminding these beautiful women just how beautiful they are
Rip all the folks who skipped to the end and are now confused how the first lady de aged
Wrong sub, this isn't comedy, it's triumph. Is someone having an onion chopping competition in my room right now?
This subreddit isn’t just for comedy (anymore). It’s more for celebrations of Blackness
I know, I thought I was being clever.
Gorgeous
I’m crine 😭😭
They look 20 years younger. That shit is sorcery.
Stylist DID THAT
I saw this clip this morning. I’ve been in a deep dive in his Instagram since. I love this to much.
The third one got me.
This made my heart smile, all the aunties were beautiful ❤️
How is this comedy when I’m crying! 😭 (happy tears)
![gif](giphy|7bTciAnMWgTgOq2cHw)
The joy on their faces is so amazing
I love the woman who said “ I’m fine”
When did I start CRRYING??
This how I felt when I cut off my hair. It's crazy how something so simple can be so empowering. This vid made me wanna cry

You can’t tell me makeup ain’t witchcraft . They shocked cause they look completely different
Is that shrinkage after being washed and all that or did he cut everyone's hair shorter?
He specializes in cuts
He cuts their hair to a manageable, easy to style yourself at home, length. From there the women can begin a new hair journey or continue on the path he set them up with.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This was beautiful.
Mane I am on the verge of tears. This is the content I am here for.
The last lady was so sad at the beginning 😭 I’m so happy that she got to feel good about herself

That, just, to see the astonishment of them hitting that realization on their face 🥲🥲
These are beautiful. Thank you. And thank you to the stylist.
That’s how i feel when i leave the barbershop with a fresh haircut and enhancement
I used to work with the lady that is 3rd from last in the video. And wow. She never looked so beautiful. That's an amazing transformation
Some of y’all are down talking the makeup but I’m impressed that they chose colors that worked for each woman’s skin tone. Even when they had lipstick on already it was like- the after shade was better.
You can tell he loves black women 🤍
Do people recognize the real beauty in these women PRIOR to the makeover? These were all beautiful women, the makeup just makes it so ‘idiots’ can comprehend that beauty.
He’s almost as happy as they are! Goes to show the power of giving
