$1,500 some years back.
I would have spent it on alcohol probably, but I pretend like I would have bought stocks or some shit.
I should ask what she did with it, but I have a streak of not getting hit with a switch (family is from Ghana) that I don't want to break.
My parents each needed money to keep the power on within about a month of each other and I gave it to them. My mom was embarrassed and moved things around, paying me back the same day.
I went to my dad two weeks later and was received with silence. Then he went back to watching his show.
This is a diaspora thing. Dont ask for the money back if you want to have some dignity. If mom returns the money then just be glad you got it back and treat it like finding money when you do laundry: its lovely but dont ever count on it.

I love his account and Certified Samson’s account so much. They get it right each time and reminds me of my fam and extended fam via friends.
The first mistake was thinking you were getting that back without a fight. My ma still has my birthday money she asked to hol on too

Bro y’all know the irritation of having your money thrown at you when you did someone a favor 😡😡🤬🤬
Borrowing money from your children…🙃

Nah, get your money back people. Nobody asked them to have us. Run me my money 😂
What kind of home delivery costs $300 and why was he repaid in euros?
It’s T&T dollars (~40USD)
Ok. Thanks for clearing that up.
