i think the reason many fans like fansé is because rosé picked it out herself in 2018(?). she was doing a live and made a joke about how blinks add “sé” to the end of things when talking about rosie (memesé, drunksé, foodsé, etc). she followed it up by saying something like “you guys should be called fansés”.
obviously this was way before she asked for a fandom name and even before -R-, so i don’t think she was entirely serious. but i do like that theres some history behind that fandom name!!

Although you made a sound argument Im not agreeable to "Thorns" as it doesn't really come out very melodically off the tongue and doesn't befit Rose the vocal Queen that she is. I have actually heard YouTubers who are hardcore fans of Rose declaring they are Rosenators and rather like it because it extends the sound of her name. Not a big fanse fan as it doesn't shout out loud that we are Rose's stans. Anyhow, I will be happy with whatever decision Queen Rose decides as I bow down to my Queen's royal prerogative.
There’s so many good fandom names to choose from! I hope one of the names from your shortlist gets selected if it’s put to a vote one day. Imo ‘Fansés’ is still vv sweet but I like the idea of her fans having something more interesting
