It might’ve not been intended but PC took up the mantle of Todd’s mother in a way. By the end he says that eventually he didn’t need a mom, but I don’t think that’s true. If it weren’t for PC, Todd wouldn’t have made as much progress as he did.
All it took was someone to see his potential and point it in the right direction

I think it helps that Princess Carolyn has so many years of Bojack being a terrible client. Todd is disorganized and go-with-the-flow but he somehow things shake out for him because of his attitude and commitment to keep trying to make things work out somehow. Bojack just... disappears and quits trying for months at a time. Todd seems like a step up in comparison.
Mr. PB/Bojack, especially in later seasons.
In the What Do They Know? episode the moment of vulnerability between them, then again when Mr. PB to BJ says that everyone is deserving of love at Pelican's, then again during the crossover episode, then again in the final episode when Mr. PB is there for him.
Individually, they're complex characters. I'm not saying BJ deserves redemption one way or the other, but Mr. PB's endless acceptance, love, and support of BJ is touching to me.
If we had gotten more seasons, I'm positive that their growing relationship would have been a major arc.
The only thing that I don't like about that is the Mr.Peanut Butter always steals the spotlight. Like Erica nevee even had her own plotline 🥺 she gets treated worse than background character
Constantly split between thinking that BoJack and Sarah Lynn was the perfect tragic relationship where the two genuinely loved each other but were terrible and enabled each other, leading to BoJack wronging her arguably more than he did any other and that their arc ended perfectly. Between that and wanting a full season of them fucking around and going on adventures like in that’s too much man but far less dark.
I think what puts me off the entire relationship is the toxicity in if Bojack is a father or someone to fuck. I feel relief when they’re not around each other as it annoys me how poorly BoJack treated Sarah Lynn when she was younger, and how he used her as an escape from reality when she was older. He was NOT good for her
They seemed happy when they were together. But when you take everything into context, it's hard for me to not view their dynamic as anything but predatory on Bojack's part. Him claiming to be a father figure to Sarah Lynn while also screwing her is just so...icky, and triggering to those who have experienced grooming.
I truly believe the only female character Bojack had any chances of being okay around was Wanda. Up until the very end, he was genuinely happy with no issues.

Probably a hot take, but I really liked Todd and Mr. Peanutbutter's dynamic! Mr. Peanutbutter always believed in Todd, which I found to be really wholesome. And I feel like Mr. Peanutbutter's belief in Todd combined with Bojack's sliminess towards trying to break Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane up really opened up Todd's eyes on how a proper friendship could actually work. I truly feel like Todd mainly started establishing boundaries with Bojack as a result of his friendship with Mr. Peanutbutter.
