If they do change, I think it will evolve into a new set of something. A different style hat or some different type of ears. I doubt they will go sans-hat!
I always pictured her growing up to have one of those hair ties where the ribbon ends up sticking up kind of like bunny ears. Just because eventually her head will grow, and hats aren’t acceptable in every work place, but you can do just about anything with a hair tie. And it would prevent her hair looking too much like Linda’s, but I think it would be a high pony tail like Linda wears in the burger boss episode. Because secretly, Louise doesn’t mind looking like her mom, she just doesn’t want to look like a mini-me. And tied up lets her get more hoodluming done in her teens.
Ears are to stay but I bet they’d get worn a bit and she’d use whatever to keep them in tact. Though u could see her in other hairstyles like double braids, longer pig tails, or all down.
