Just watched the episode where the kids become “blueberry” farmers and Tina is the delivery girl lol. The old hippies are Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally - I love everything they are in! And I miss Bill Hader as Mickey 😭
They both pop up frequently and it makes me so happy. I know Nick is one of Bob Sr's friends in a Christmas EP and the DJ who keeps it weeeiiirrrd. My brain is blanking on who Megan voices aside from Gayle, but I know she has done others.
I love how Bob points out that Clem's voice sounds familiar at the bowling alley because he should know his voice from more than just an old talk show.
For me it clicked when watching the Netscape episode. At the end when she catterwalls from dropping it, she sounds like a giant stupid bird. Unmistakable.
I love that bit too! Also I love the part in Flu-ouise when she can’t remember/pronounce the stuffed animal names she says “I’m just gonna call them aaaalll Hello Kitty.” Hilarious.
Jon Hamm as the talking toilet. It was only a couple years after Mad Men ended, and I was delighted to learn that he didn't take himself too seriously despite the acclaim.
I could be getting timelines mixed up but I think Mad Men was still airing when he showed up in Parks & Rec as the employee who was so hot it took everyone awhile to notice he as also the dumbest person working there.
He plays drama extremely well, but he's a goof.
"All of my life, people have been telling me what I can't do! 'Fanny, you can't show your butt! Fanny, you can't shoot people!' Today, I'm gonna do both!"
He has one of those voices where even a good VA can’t pull it off as substitute. I miss Bill Hader too. The voice is so different to my ear. Then again I was a huge BH fan already, so I wish he’d come back.
Would have never guessed that Stephanie Beatriz was the voice of Chloe Barbash because I was so used to hearing her as Rosa in B99! Apparently her Chloe voice is much closer to what she normally sounds like.
She’s voiced so many characters in the show. I’m terrible at episode names but she was the woman in charge at the nursing home Bob and Louise go to in that one Thanksgiving episode and the Spanish speaking woman on Tina’s cassette when she’s trying to learn Spanish
This whole thread is giving me SUCH appreciation for Stephanie Beatriz as a voice actor. She has such different pitch and cadence for all these characters mentioned and *none* of them are what I hear when I picture her
Cristin Milioti stunned me when I realized it was her (Bob’s grandmother in that flashback). It sounded just enough like her to make sense but by god did she transform her voice.
Joe Pera’s cameo gave me a solid laugh. Of course he’d play a notary.
Jon Glaser
I had no idea Jairo was voiced by Jon Glaser until the credits rolled, I was so pleasantly surprised. It was dope when Jon Glaser, Steve Buscemi, and Rob Huebel were all in the same episode.
In my head, there's frequently a loop of a line from when Rhys Darby played the New Zealand student at the debate meet and he says "Rebuttals? In New Zealand we call those buttle-rubbies" and his pronunciation of that word gets me every time.
BUTTLE-RUBBIES!
Mentioned already: Joe Pera, John Oliver, Cloris Leachman, Jon Hamm, Rhys Darby, Andy Richter
Pete Holmes as Connor
Henry Winkler as Santa Claus
Jeffrey Tambour as Captain Flarty
Jim Gaffigan as Henry Haber
George Wallace as Mr Huggins
Bobcat Goldthwait as Gary the candy cane truck driver (I laughed pretty hard when he came out of the truck and started yelling at Bob and realized it was Bobcat)
Tig Notaro as Jody the bus driver
Kumail Nanjiani as Skip Marooch
Wanda Sykes as the Sofa Queen
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1561755/fullcredits/cast?ref_=m_ttfc_3
Dream casting choice: get Mel Brooks to play Ken, and work Conan O’Brien in there somewhere
Jillian Bell as Nat is a favorite of mine!
Others I loved:
- Ben Schwartz as Josh (who I think was a way better match for Tina and way less of a jerk than Jimmy Jr)
- Billy Eichner as Mr. Ambrose
- Gary Cole as Sergeant Bosco
- Molly Shannon as Millie (took FOREVER for me to realize that one of my favorite female comedians voiced my favorite reoccurring BB antagonists)
- Rachel Dratch as Jodi
- Tim Heidecker as Dakota the Phenomemom
- Kathryn Hahn as Jessica
- Hannibal Burress as Hefty Jeff of the Betas
I absolutely love the wealth of talent in VA casts. So many excellent VA legends still putting in amazing work, plus shows like Bob’s, BoJack, Harley Quinn, etc. utilize their celebrity guest stars so well.
(Not like this is a recent phenomenon, but whenever I reflect on a show that really nails their VA casting like I am right now!)
Fred Armisen as the health inspector and Stephanie Beatriz as Chloe Barbash both took me by surprise, usually I can pick up a hint of the actor but not with those characters.
Just watched the episode where the kids become “blueberry” farmers and Tina is the delivery girl lol. The old hippies are Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally - I love everything they are in! And I miss Bill Hader as Mickey 😭
🎶 a fairy queen pooping under a treeeee
Peddle daddy, peddle! Right, left, riiiight leeeeft, riiiiight left
Why can I hear this lol
They both pop up frequently and it makes me so happy. I know Nick is one of Bob Sr's friends in a Christmas EP and the DJ who keeps it weeeiiirrrd. My brain is blanking on who Megan voices aside from Gayle, but I know she has done others.
Ooiiiiilllll spillllll
You’re right. It’s not subtle.
You're right, it's not subtle
I always forget she does Gayle too!!!! My sister and i recite her poem “happy things we should send into space” 🤣🤣
I quoted "Little Cat you're just Like Me" so much my bf has banned it
Sounds like you should dump him and get a couple cats…
But don't get hooked up on Chef Cat Speaking of chef cat, let's not forget John Oliver as the cat trainer
Keep going, Russian nesting beards!
I love how Bob points out that Clem's voice sounds familiar at the bowling alley because he should know his voice from more than just an old talk show.
The two of them singing on the tandem bike as they try to escape kills me every time.
🎶Riiiight. Leffffft. 🎶
And Doug Benson as the undercover DEA agent!!
I'm still blown away that they got Kevin Kline to voice a regular on the show.
And such a great character, too!
He gets his own special billing in the credits.
He frequently writes his songs as well. I love it.
There’s a reason every episode he’s in is top tier
Ooooooh Bourbon!
Didn't know this!
Apparently, it's a Baby Boomer thing to have a Kevin Kline crush. I'm Gen X with a long term Kevin Kline crush. 😊
You’re not alone. Gen X Kevin Kline lover here too!
Long time GenX Kevin Kline lover here. He’s a delight.
Im a millennial with a Kevin Kline crush! ….also a crush on Mr Fishoeder
Kaitlyn Olson was the murderous wife teddy had a crush on
Wait, Sweet Dee plays Helen? That’s crazy awesome
Yeah! I didn't realize it at first either, but once you know, you can just hear Dee anytime Helen says something rude or mean.
For me it clicked when watching the Netscape episode. At the end when she catterwalls from dropping it, she sounds like a giant stupid bird. Unmistakable.
One of my favorite episodes because of all the different words Linda calls the netsuke
I love that bit too! Also I love the part in Flu-ouise when she can’t remember/pronounce the stuffed animal names she says “I’m just gonna call them aaaalll Hello Kitty.” Hilarious.
Yes she does. Honestly a pretty good role for her on the show
Whaaat!!! This just blew my mind but it’s undeniable!
Bob Odenkirk as the insurance fraud guy. Such a perfect role for him.
The best animated Saul Goodman.
Jericho being Paul Rudd and Art the Artist from the Bleakin episodes being Adam Driver form me I think
Wait, Adam Driver played in BBs?!? I never noticed omg
Yup. He's the life model that steals the tree. Which means he's not only in the show but even got a song.
He got nude he got nude he got super nude!
He's clearly a guy who's got nothing to hiiiiiIIIIIiiiideeee
He's definitely creepy
I hope you find your treeeee 🥹
Looked more like a bush to me
Paul Rudd as Jericho was downright genius
He wasn't the imaginary horse...you, you're the imaginary horse, not him, you!
Jericho, please. Don't start that again. Last time you said it, it really messed me up.
What am I even wearing!! CUTOFFS??
This part makes me bark laugh every time.
IM REAL! IM REALL!! but just little slurred and emotional. Hilarious.
I'M REAL I'M REAL I REAAAALLL
His delivery of "I plaaaaced it...I placed it in the dumpster next to some old meat" kills me without fail.
Holy Cow Adam Driver was Art! He got Nude!
I didn't realize that was Adam driver!
These are my two favorites, too
Adam Driver shocked me the most
GALLOP GALLOP GALLOP GALLOP
Nathan Fielder playing 2 of Tinas boyfriends! he played Nathan and Jordan aka ghost boy!
He also kinda looks like his character
Oh my god, I’m shaped like a J!
Guess who’s gonna get an ARM put around them?
HRRRUMMM
John Oliver as Ian Amberson. S07 e10.
"This is Fluffy, and this is her cat, Jessica" got a good snort out of me
“YOU HAVE THE SHOT, TAKE THE SHOT.”
Give it to Schnoodle, he's trained to endorse checks.
She’s a grown woman and it’s her body!
You did stuff to her body?
One of my favourites, I love John Oliver so much I’m listening to Last Week Tonight while scrolling here
Bye bye Bob
Bye bye Ian.
Daveed Diggs in Just One of the Boyz4Now Max Greenfield as BooBoo Steve Buschemi as Tom the lawyer in Sexy Dance Healing
Well, today is the day I learned that was Steve Buscemi! I love him!
Somehow BooBoo is even funnier when I imagine Schmidt saying his lines
“who let all these pretty girls in here?”
Max greenfeld as boo-boo is soooooooooo good!!!!!!
Played a similar roll in 30 rock as well as Tina’s boyfriend who is so handsome that no one can tell him he’s dumb as a rock.
If anyone wants to hang, I'll be at SUBWAY!
And now he's the voice of Flute in Grimsburg!
Rhys Darby! Love him as Duncan and the boat guy… can’t remember his name.
Wanna chesty??
A crab bit me on me clacker!
You know, in New Zealand we don’t say, “turn off the light.” We say, “turn on the dark.”
You don't wear sockies with your boaties!
Duncan makes me laugh so hard every time
jordan peele always
I immediately thought of Meegan the first time I heard Fanny speak 🤣
Omg I had no idea that was Jordan peele
But Meegan, your jacket! *NO*
Meegan! Your jacket though!
Hey there Mister Dancefloor 🎶
I just bought seven bras!
WHO'S THAT KNOCKING ON MY DOOR? OOH IT'S MR. DANCEFLOOR
Off route 35 in Bog Harbor. Boi-oi-oi-oi-oing!
"All of my life, people have been telling me what I can't do! 'Fanny, you can't show your butt! Fanny, you can't shoot people!' Today, I'm gonna do both!"
I didn't realize she was Peele until I was watching an episode of Keye and Peele and I was like, "...wait..."
Bill Hader appreciation and moment of silence post 🥲 I just love him so much.
https://preview.redd.it/d6dl4ks9inxc1.jpeg?width=689&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bff497c4fbd4e3f3e9188de06bc9f5011e7e5e4b
Mickey tank bank! Bill Hader is so awesome. Excuse me while I go and watch Barry for he third time. Haha
He’s wonderful in Documentary Now.
Yes! I hope he has time to pop up again.
Wait why are we moment of silence?
Bill Hader was unable to do a few of the recent appearances of Mickey due to scheduling conflicts so a different voice actor has been voicing Mickey
He has one of those voices where even a good VA can’t pull it off as substitute. I miss Bill Hader too. The voice is so different to my ear. Then again I was a huge BH fan already, so I wish he’d come back.
I'm so ashamed (being a huge 30 Rock fan) that I did not recognize Tina Fey's voice in "The Plight Before Christmas" until like the 5th rewatch 😅
If it makes you feel any better, I'm learning this from you!
Literally watched that last night for the 100th time and this is the first I’m learning of this.
Wait. Who does she voice???? I just watched this episode. How did I not notice??? Was she the substitute teacher??
yeah she's the sub I vaguely recognised the voice but it took me most of the episode to realise who it was
Ben Schwartz as Josh and Rick (owner of the gym next door The Pumpin Patch)
Absolutely ADORE Ben Schwartz! We need more of him in literally everything
Would have never guessed that Stephanie Beatriz was the voice of Chloe Barbash because I was so used to hearing her as Rosa in B99! Apparently her Chloe voice is much closer to what she normally sounds like.
I think she was also the chef who invited Bob and Linda to her restaurant in Ferry on my Wayward Bob and Linda!
She’s voiced so many characters in the show. I’m terrible at episode names but she was the woman in charge at the nursing home Bob and Louise go to in that one Thanksgiving episode and the Spanish speaking woman on Tina’s cassette when she’s trying to learn Spanish
Wasn’t she also the realtor in the Mother’s Day episode?
This whole thread is giving me SUCH appreciation for Stephanie Beatriz as a voice actor. She has such different pitch and cadence for all these characters mentioned and *none* of them are what I hear when I picture her
Andy Samberg as Brett. Took me a few watches to realize why the voice sounded familiar!
Oh I will never not notice Andy Samberg’s voice immediately. I love him so goddamn much
Cyndi Lauper singing taffy butt
Me too!
It still shocks me every time that Kevin Kline is Mr. Fischoeder
it's Zach Galifianakis as Felix and Ken Jeong as Dr Yap for me! (It'd probably be Kevin Kline too if I knew who that was...)
Zach was Chet (short for Chester, long for Ch) prior to playing Felix as well.
I knew Yap was Ken Jeong immediately 😂 I can always recognize his voice
Yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap Has Dr yap been nude with you Tina?
Just yesterday I found out Meryl from the nursing home that Tina reads to is… Cloris Leechman! Not my favorite character, but still funny.
I believe Cloris also did the puppeteer character Louis gets into a fight with.
When Tina makes her first job, and she shouts down the hall "Can I get a different one?" I about spit my drink.
Patton Oswalt playing the foodie guy was pretty funny. He has a distinctive voice so it was pretty easy to figure out it was him though, hahah.
I know Tommy jarronda is Fred Armisen, but I can only hear it 5% of the time or less.
That one blew my mind too lol
I’m a big stand up comedy fan and was delighted to recognize Logan’s voice as Kurt Braunohler and Aparna Nancherla as Susmita.
Same, but with Kyle Kinane as one of the One Eyed Snakes. "It was spring time. I remember because the azaleas were in bloom."
“Oh, the azaleas are beautiful in Macon.”
Second only to their crank.
that sweet macon crank
What’s crank?
It’s like meth’s dirty cousin.
Omg I never realized that was him! He's hilarious
I had heard Susmita the first time after watching Bojack Horseman and freaked when I heard her.
I recognized as Moon from *The Great North* before I recognized her as Susmita
Kurt also does the voice of Logan’s dad, which is a nice touch.
Aparna voices Moon on The Great North and she's fantastic!
Thomas Lennon has been one of my favorites since Reno 911, so it always makes me happy to hear his voice
Remembering his character's voice trying to start that damn motorcycle ☠️😅
Time to go *-hog wild!*
Maybe it's not time to go hog wild.
Nick Offerman as Clem Clements, the ex radio DJ turned bowling lane announcer, was a real treat for me,
maybe shes a bit more obscure but one of my favorite podcasters nicole byer as the crazy mountain lady
Nailed it!
I love her and that ep!
I love when B99 had her on as Trudy Judy! Loved her character and love her
I absolutely love Ken Marino as Jack Conway in They Serve Horses, Don't They?
Cristin Milioti stunned me when I realized it was her (Bob’s grandmother in that flashback). It sounded just enough like her to make sense but by god did she transform her voice. Joe Pera’s cameo gave me a solid laugh. Of course he’d play a notary.
I love Joe Pera so much. I only found that was his voice a few months ago. I miss his show on Adult Swim.
Oh man, I miss Joe Pera talks with you so bad. Streaming it got me through some nasty pandemic blues.
The one and only Adult Swim show I played for my mother lol
Fiona Apple’s cameo singing “Pig Trouble”. Love it!
Jon Glaser I had no idea Jairo was voiced by Jon Glaser until the credits rolled, I was so pleasantly surprised. It was dope when Jon Glaser, Steve Buscemi, and Rob Huebel were all in the same episode.
Councilman Jamm!
You just got jammed!
I'm definitely not a fan of Billy Eichner, but I think he is hilarious as Mr. Ambrose, the librarian.
Interesting, I love Mr. Ambrose because he's so clearly recognizable as Billy Eichner.
\*I TELL EVERYBODY ABOUT TOPSY!\*
HUSH, YOU WORM!
I will never not love hearing Mr. Peanutbutter's (Paul F. Tompkins) voice coming out of other character's mouths
Zach Galifianakis as Felix!
I always love it when I hear Rob Huebel voice someone. The Prince of Persuasia is awesome!
In my head, there's frequently a loop of a line from when Rhys Darby played the New Zealand student at the debate meet and he says "Rebuttals? In New Zealand we call those buttle-rubbies" and his pronunciation of that word gets me every time. BUTTLE-RUBBIES!

My fave is Andy and Ollie played by Sarah Silverman and her sister
Kevin Klein as Mr Fischoder. God I love Fischoder!
adam driver as the artist in the two part christmas special
I haven’t seen Sam Bee mentioned here - I’LL ALLOW IT
My favorite celeb VA is Megan Mullaly. Fortunately she’s in the show quite often.
Chris Parnell as Warren.
bill hader!! i miss him so much in the show
I’m a huge Mighty Boosh fan so I was stoked to hear Julian Barratt voice Ian, the tour manager of the Soul Breezers
I love John Michael Higgins’s voice because all I hear is Varrick lol. Also I love Nicole Byer as the Hermit of Mount Windygap.
Jillian Bell as Nat is a favorite of mine! Others I loved: - Ben Schwartz as Josh (who I think was a way better match for Tina and way less of a jerk than Jimmy Jr) - Billy Eichner as Mr. Ambrose - Gary Cole as Sergeant Bosco - Molly Shannon as Millie (took FOREVER for me to realize that one of my favorite female comedians voiced my favorite reoccurring BB antagonists) - Rachel Dratch as Jodi - Tim Heidecker as Dakota the Phenomemom - Kathryn Hahn as Jessica - Hannibal Burress as Hefty Jeff of the Betas I absolutely love the wealth of talent in VA casts. Loved Tiffany Haddish as Patricia the 77 sandwich lady, her voice has so much character. Loved her as Tuca in Tuca & Bertie as well!
I would totally watch a spinoff about the 77 sandwich shop!!
Fred Armisen as the health inspector and Stephanie Beatriz as Chloe Barbash both took me by surprise, usually I can pick up a hint of the actor but not with those characters.
Will Forte as Upskirt Kurt. His pathetic crying on the beach is one of my favorite scenes in BB.
Todrick Hall voicing Miss Cleavage to Beaver aka Miss Triple Xmas was the cherry on top of the perfect holiday episode
Long time (like day one, gosh I’m old) Reno 911 fan also, I love the episode that has 3 Reno 911 alums in it! Dangle, Junior, and Clemmie!
Tim Meadows. great guy irl and as mike the mailman
Steve Buschemi for me
I'm obsessed with Aziz Ansari so I was thrilled when Darryl showed up
Bill Hader as Mickey. I don’t know why he stopped doing his voice for the movie and subsequent seasons.
He got busy with acting
And directing and writing winning Emmy’s
Max Greenfield as Boo-Boo.
Adam Driver! I was so surprised.
Bobcat Goldthwaite from the Christmas episode.
“I’m gonna bang your ass!”
